You guys... I am so happy to report that Community is BACK. And I don't just mean that the new season is airing, though that is true. jade_okelani and I laughed more often and more genuinely in the first episode of S5 than we did all of last season. It is a joy to watch again (and has the added benefit of no Chevy Chase). The laughs come from an unexpected and witty place. IT IS THE BEST EXAMPLE OF WHAT TELEVISION OUGHT TO BE. Episode 3 of the new season is particularly wonderful. What they can fit into 20 minutes, ahhh! Brilliance, just sheer brilliance. Now that I have completely overhyped it for you, go forth and enjoy!
Next up, I completely blameadelagia for my new obsession with One Direction. It is utterly her fault. She keeps sending me stuff and making me get more and more obsessed. They really did nothing for me before (other than that they had a couple of fun, catchy songs), but good lord, have you guys noticed that those boys have grown up? Like, they have seriously. grown. up. Fucking Harry Styles, ohmygod. His dumb face, I hate it. And his stupid voice!!!!! The chorus of Through the Dark is him and Zayn, and it's basically eargasmic. It's not RIGHT. And of course there's the way he carries the chorus (BOTH TIMES, T.) in Story of My Life, which also happens to be a truly awesome music vid. Watch it, damn you:
Meanwhile, I have had yet another original story idea that will have to wait because if I let myself get distracted I'll never finish anything. I'm at nearly 50k words on the story I've been working on, which is the most I've ever written of anything original, ever. And I already know I'm going to have to make a ton of changes later, but as long as things are generally progressing in a way I want, I haven't been worrying about it too much.
