Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't care.

I had an 8am conference call with Germany this morning, which means that I got an hour less sleep than usual (which isn't enough to begin with). I think this entitles me to some LJ time. Last night my DSL wasn't working for some reason (am hoping it was a one-time thing, and not a problem w/ the computer), but instead of using the time to clean or do anything productive (my mom's coming in this weekend so I have to make sure that everything is as clean as possible), I talked to Jade on the phone, watched Bend It Like Beckham (<3) and my two TV shows, and played Spider Solitaire (at the "Stephen Hawking level" as Robbie terms it -- have still not won a game at that level, but I did finally clear a row, which is something).

weekend_soul's recent experience reminded me of the death-defying crash that Jade and I went through in April ... I didn't know a lot of you then, but if you want to hear about what happened to us, it's here. It's totally funny to read about it now ... Jade wrote it up like it was some comedic occurrence, and while we do have a tendency to laugh at ourselves, I think part of it was that it was just too scary. I mean, a branch could have easily pierced our skulls. And when I think about how I laughed at my dad for insisting on buckling in the TV to the backseat, and how if he hadn't it probably would have fallen forward and crushed my head, I freak out a little bit.

Anyway, on to important matters, like TV. I tend to post reactions to everything I watch, so now that the fall season has started, you'll be exposed to that. (And I also start making my subjects lines from episodes.) But don't worry, I use cut tags, so you can skip right on by if you're not interested. And luckily, I'm only following three shows this season: AtS, Smallville, and Friends.

Neither of my managers appears to be in today. WTF am I doing here? I should be home taking a nap or cleaning.
