sarea: (go crazy)

Well, it's the one-week anniversary, but... YAY!!!!!!!!

It's been really great to see the Seattle community come together. And given how lopsided the game was, social media was almost more fun. *Almost*, for Seahawks fans, of course. If I hadn't been rooting for them I *definitely* would have found social media more entertaining.

My favorites:

The Guardian's Lego reenactment of highlights from the Super Bowl:

"If this were a fight, they would stop it."

Made me laugh:

A special section for DiGiorno, which consistently wins at Twitter:

Poor Peyton:

Guess who was the first to make an official call on the outcome? It wasn't a who, but a what:

Celebrities I now like EVEN MORE THAN I DID BEFORE, for supporting the Seahawks:

(Okay, admittedly, I did not have feelings about LeBron James one way or another before.)

I have such a crush on Earl Thomas, you don't even know:

My other crush is on Russell Wilson:

Poking fun of Seattle:

Skittles made a special, limited edition "Seattle Mix" package of Skittles (in honor of Marshawn Lynch) that only had blue and green Skittles. They only made 1,000 of them and they weren't sold in stores, so now they're going for $150-200 on eBay. -.- Seriously, if you go through the trouble of creating a design and making these things, why not just make a bunch of them and sell them in the Seattle market at least?!

Random celebrity tweets that amused me:

(By now everyone has seen this, but it still had to be included.)

Not a celebrity, but it didn't fit anywhere else.

The winner of the tweet wars was actually Niall, who got over 100k tweets for something barely to do with the Super Bowl:
