Malfoy's Potter tips to Cho girls

Why's he giving out advice to potential Chos, anyway? Perhaps to indulge my guilty-pleasure ship.

According to this, they're looking for girls with Southeast Asian descent. WTF really? I would have thought East Asian from her name, but what do I know?

And wait, so -- gah, I'm so not up on HP news. There were rumors a few weeks back that the kids had signed on for the GoF movie, but then it went back and forth over whether this was actually true or just a rumor, blah blah. But if they're holding casting auditions for Cho Chang this weekend, that means that the film's been greenlighted, right? And from the sound of things, Dan and everyone else will be back. Right?

Oh, whatever. I'm just excited/wary to see who they'll pick for Cho. If only I were 10 years younger and lived in London. Of course, if I played Cho I'd make the suggestion that she doesn't go for Harry because she's actually in love with his nemesis, and could she and Malfoy have a snog scene please?

And I want more pictures. Did Tom shoot up to 6'1" during filming? How did they "fix" that? Did the other people in his scenes have to stand on boxes? I mean, he's only supposed to be 13. He can't tower over his teachers.

Oh Honey! I didn't know that you did!!! I'm so sorry!!!!! *hugs*

Cindy's Killer Pot Roast

1 pot roast cut of meat (I like bottom round)
1 can french onion soup mix
1 packet dry onion soup mix
up to 10 beef bullion cubes

The night before you want to serve it, seer meat on all sides over high heat in a heavy skillet until a brown crust forms. Place meat in a crockpot, add soup mixes and beef bullion cubes (2 or 3 for a a small (2-3 lbs roast - more for larger or tougher cuts of meat). Add enough water to cover roast. Set crockpot on low heat setting, allowing roast to cook all night and the next day. Larger cuts of meat might need the high setting for several hours. A few hours before you're ready to serve, you can cut up an onion to cook in the juices. The roast should fall apart when you go to take it out so be careful you don't get splashed.

Save the juice and meat for leftover hash - in a large sauce pan pull roast part, cover with juice, add a cut up onion, salt and pepper liberally. Simmer for an hour or until onion is tender. Disolve a cup of flour in hot water until it makes a loose paste (almost watery), slowly add to meat mixture, stirring frequently until a gravy is formed.

Serve with mashed potatoes and hot biscuits. :)

Freezes well.
