How did Friends know what my guilty little shipper heart really wants??? And no, I'm not talking about the Gellers.

So Jade and I were talking, and we were like, so has anyone not kissed each other on Friends? So we compiled a list. Accurate or no?

Friends who have kissed each other:

Chandler/Monica
Chandler/Joey
Chandler/Rachel
Chandler/Phoebe
Ross/Rachel
Ross/Phoebe
Phoebe/Joey
Phoebe/Rachel
Monica/Rachel (behind the scenes)
Monica/Ross
Rachel/Joey
Ross/Joey

So we're missing:

Chandler/Ross
Monica/Phoebe
Monica/Joey

Wow, that's IT?? Gawd, they're all such whores. Rachel has kissed everyone. I say they ought to take care of the other four before the season finale. I mean, they've already done Ross/Monica; I don't think the others could be more daunting than that.

Meanwhile, this is pretty damn close. Especially if by "dies" they mean "as a vampire, thereby becoming human once more." :))

Aiieeeee! I said not the Gellers!!!

Though it appears that incest seems to be making rounds in mainstream culture. It's only a matter of time before everyone loses interest in Ron/Ginny because it's so tame and, you know, perfectly acceptable.

:P Why must you reply right before I re-read to delete the comment? The dorkiness of Ross and Monica do actually amuse the heck out of me though. :)

Because I'm an annoying thwarter that way. I know, I love their dorkiness! But that definitely doesn't translate to the Gellers making out with one another. :D I can't believe Ross thought that was Rachel all these years, and he apparently enjoyed the kiss very, very much. *shudder* Chandler and Rachel should so run away together, just because they're the only ones who really understand what it's like to be with Ross and Monica. Heeheeheehee.

You're right. They SHOULD take care of the rest of them before the finale, now that they've crossed the Monica/Ross taboo. A few humble suggestions:

Chandler/Ross

Another flashback episode reveals that Chandler and Ross, despondant over their inability to snag girls during their last year of college, turn to each other for one drunken night, then swear never to speak of it again. Special guest star Scott Thompson as the stoner kid in the dorm who shows them a better way.

Monica/Phoebe

Monica realizes that the real reason Phoebe moved out wasn't because Monica's neatness was driving her crazy; it was because Phoebe has been secretly in love with Monica this entire time. Her marriage to Mike is her way of coping, now that Monica has found Chandler, but the two friends share a bittersweet kiss of farewell as Monica and Chandler move into their new house in Westchester.

Monica/Joey

When Monica finds out that Chandler and Ross made out in college, she kisses Joey to seek revenge on both of them, because that's a sore spot for Chandler, and Ross already lost Rachel to Joey once. It is the perfect revenge, but Monica soon sees the error of her ways when Joey insists she quit her job at the restaurant so she can stay home and cook for him all day long.

Ross/Joey

After the memory of his "first perfect kiss" with Rachel is shattered, Ross wonders if his whole life has been a lie. Recalling how Carol hadn't known she was gay, either, Ross decides to test the waters (because Chandler in college was just harmless experimentation) with his old friend Joey. However, Joey would be unwilling to do so, and Ross is forced to dress as a woman to land Mr. Tribiani.

Ross naturally realizes that he isn't gay, but in a surprise twist, and something that was foreshadowed by an earlier episode where he wore Rachel's top, Ross comes to the realization that he is a cross-dresser. The show naturally ends with a Ross/Rachel reunion, but whereas their relationship has always imploded in the past, now that they can share a child, as well as a wardrobe, things always manage to work out.

Joey moves to L.A. and gets a new set of Friends who are not already famous.

Phoebe and Mike live together quite happily, though she always secretly longs for Monica.

Monica and Chandler adopt that girl from the Scary Movie movies' kid, a boy, then realize Monica's been pregnant for the past few weeks, with twin girls. Later, Monica has another boy, thus fulfilling Chandler's "fantasy family" scenario from S7.

Ben is never mentioned again.

See, what I like about you is, you make me look so sane.

I like the Chandler/Ross one, but who's Scott Thompson? Not sure on Phoebe secretly being in love w/ Monica all this time. Or that Monica would kiss her "bittersweetly." If Phoebe were in love w/ Monica, she'd just go for it, and Monica wouldn't know why. Unless you wanted it to be like the Keira Knightley storyline from Love Actually. It disturbs me that you would equate Monica kissing Joey to Ross losing Rachel to Joey. I don't see why he'd really care if Monica kissed Joey. I'm afraid the only way I'd see that one working is that, bitter that Chandler had kissed her non-fat friend during the time when she was still hurt about his fat remarks about her, Monica decides to see what she missed out on when she and Joey could have gotten together and didn't. Crossdressing!Ross is funny, but it makes no SENCE that just because he kissed his sister, he'd suddenly think that maybe he was gay. And your little ship preferences are SO coming through, with Monica's miraculous pregnancies and their happy little family, with Phoebe actually still in love w/ Monica etc. So to mix things up a bit, I think it's Monica who actually pines for Phoebe, because if she's got herself a husband who can't get her pregnant, then she might as well be with a girl.

Ben dies.

Yes, that reply in no way made you look just as crazy as I am.

The Phoebe-crushes-on-Monica thing actually has backstory: In the one where Chandler smokes in Tulsa (also Phoebe's birthday episode, S6), Phoebe goes to Monica & Chandler's, and finds Monica waiting for Chandler in a teddy. After she leaves, she sees Chandler in the hall, and mentions that Monica "has the breasts of a Greek Goddess" and seems to get lost in thought for a moment, before looking embarrassed and running away.

Watch the DVDs. Oh, Phoebe's love for Monica is undeniable.

Since there's nothing to indicate Monica would pine for Phoebe, but you're right, my 'ship preferences do come through, let's go this way: seeing how happy Ross is as a cross-dresser, Chandler decides to become one as well, and, finally understanding his father better, develops a father/son duo that tours the country, and bring about a new revolution of musical theater: Transvestiteville, the great, great, great gay grandson of Vaudville.

Ross attends every single show, and Monica is forced to sit in the audience with her brother every night while her husband sings terribly off key.

Ben dies and no one notices or cares. In fact, Ben died last season.

Correct me if I am mistaken, but I recall an episode where Joey was trying to get a part in a play or something where he had to kiss another guy so he was trying to "practice" on Ross and Chandler but they wouldn't cooperate. Then, at the end of the show, Ross went into Joey's apartment and goes "I know you want this part, and I want to help so..." and then he layed one on him.

So that makes Ross/Joey. Unless I am completely insane.
