This weekend I discovered the gloriousness of Mal/Inara.

And why heinous_bitca hates the Alliance and named her guild The Brown Coats. :))

And why I should be very, very excited for Serenity, which comes out at the end of this month, and which Jade and I will get to see while we're in New York.

All that said, someone, anyone, please rec me Mal/Inara fics. Particularly ones where she uses her feminine wiles on him ... and succeeds. :)) But nothing that spoils for the movie, because I don't want to know a single thing about it before the fact. PLEASE REC ME TEH HAWT MAL/INARA SMUT. TY.

I LOVE Mal/Inara, but it seems there are relatively few fics around and hardly any smut!

I did a search for Mal/Inara fanfic a while back, though, so here are a few recs:

Fine Line by rebecca (http://firefly.populli.org/archive/4/fineline.shtml). Short and NC17.

Alison M. Dobell's fanfics: http://carlajane.50megs.com/Ali010.htm. It's not all Mal/Inara, but a fair bit of it is. They are not particularly smutty, if I remember right, though.

I also found a few on Fireflyfans.net (http://www.fireflyfans.net/), but can't remember what they were called... I remember there being a Mal/Inara community on LJ too, but when I found it it was pretty much dead.

Not much, but it's a start! :) Maybe Serenity will get a few more people writing Firefly fanfic.

You're welcome! ;) I liked Fine Line, but it looks as if the author hasn't written anything else that is Mal/Inara. Alison M. Dobell's fics are very 'plotty' and long, and I found them quite an interesting read, even though they don't focus that much on Mal/Inara. Apart from that, I wasn't able to find much but I'm hoping that someone else will rec a few fics that I haven't found yet!!

It's so true though ,that there is hardly any fic around and most of it tends to be terrible... I have high hopes that the movie will get things moving a bit in the fan community.

Thanks for the recs!!! I can't believe fandom has failed us so. But you're right, maybe the movie'll get people writing. And I'm not saying that I'll use my voodoo mind control to make Jade write Mal/Inara, but if she should happen to do so, I will have had nothing to do with it. *hides Jade voodoo doll* Anyway, thanks again!
