Jade and I finally got our act together and have posted the next chapter of our WIP, "If You Only Knew." It's H/Hr and D/G, and dedicated to [livejournal.com profile] msscribe because she rocks. Hope y'all enjoy!

Last night I had a pretty surreal experience. It was fun, it was disturbing, it gave me serious hotface. Thanks to my co-conspirators for a truly ... satisfying evening.

Oh, it did not. You and Nancy were pointing and laughing at us virgins.

Callie and I are still recovering. Meep.

Although I'm emphatically not a Portkey fan, I am an enthusiastic D/G shipper who's been following your stories for quite some time. You're also good buddies with my friend Liss, who talks about you all the time.

So I'm going to add you and your twin to my LJ as friends. Just so I can get regular updates. :)

First, I am so tickled and flattered, you have no idea. Jade and I printed out "Trouble in Paradise" and were reading it together while she was visiting here, but unfortunately haven't found the time to finish it yet (though we are so. damn. close.), because we started out reading it together, and that's how we want to end it. Awesome, awesome story. Cannot say enough. Jade's an H/Hr fan, but I really wouldn't call myself one (not passionate about it, I mean) -- however, this is one of the very few stories that has made the H/Hr ship really compelling to me.

Second, Liss rocks!

Third, what is this Portkey thing? You must fill me in. Jade and I are really only peripherally in the fandom, wethinks, and so don't know the ins and outs of various archives and what not. However, it is one of perhaps two places where we feel welcome to post our adult fiction, so we take advantage of it, even if the restrictions of the archive completely boggled us at first. <g>

Don't get me wrong... I like Nappa. He is very cool. But the restrictions are very scary. That is why I started http://www.pumpkinpie.org -- there are stories listed in our directory that I am sure the Portkey folks wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole, because Hermione is with Ron or Draco or whomever before/during/after Harry, even if the author makes it emphatically clear that Hermione is Harry's One True Love and vice versa.

Anyway, squee! Can't believe I'm chatting with you--I love everything you and Jade have ever written, and have reviewed your stuff sporadically over at adultfanfiction.net.

Let's keep in touch--I like your style!

Oooh, PumpkinPie.org looks rocking. But most of my/our fics are D/G (and much of it is NC-17), so it's nice to have a place where we can post most of our material. Though I remember when Jade and I first stumbled upon Portkey -- we were both all Image. LOL. We kept IMing every new restriction we found because it all seemed so wild ("Is this for real?"). But alas, we're used to it now. And in some ways I have to admit it's cool to have a place that caters to our primary pairing preferences, even if the stories themselves are restricted to be a certain way (but we know it's like that, so we take it all w/ a grain of salt). Portkey's restrictions certainly do not determine if/what elements I ultimately include in a story, just so I can post there. <shudder> Lord, no. Though, the other day I saw a D/G fic there wherein Draco is trying to get over his feelings for Harry, so there may be hope yet ... Though I suppose, one story does not a revolution make. <g>

So people do read stories off aff.net! I've always wondered if by posting a story there it was just kind of throwing it into an abyss. <g>

I don't mind saying -- you've totally made my week, Ang. Image

*happy sounds*

Chapter was fabulous. Don't want to say anything too spoiler-y here in case folks haven't read it (and I share some of [livejournal.com profile] angiej's discomfort at the Portkey restrictions so shan't be doing so there.

Anyway. Loved it. I really like your Ginny - and that's not a sentence I type too terribly often. ^_^ But she's so refreshingly natural and real and, well, I'm happy little cookie over here. Plus Draco cracked me up on several occasions as well. :)
