Jade and I finally got our act together and have posted the next chapter of our WIP, "If You Only Knew." It's H/Hr and D/G, and dedicated to [livejournal.com profile] msscribe because she rocks. Hope y'all enjoy!

Last night I had a pretty surreal experience. It was fun, it was disturbing, it gave me serious hotface. Thanks to my co-conspirators for a truly ... satisfying evening.

Don't get me wrong... I like Nappa. He is very cool. But the restrictions are very scary. That is why I started http://www.pumpkinpie.org -- there are stories listed in our directory that I am sure the Portkey folks wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole, because Hermione is with Ron or Draco or whomever before/during/after Harry, even if the author makes it emphatically clear that Hermione is Harry's One True Love and vice versa.

Anyway, squee! Can't believe I'm chatting with you--I love everything you and Jade have ever written, and have reviewed your stuff sporadically over at adultfanfiction.net.

Let's keep in touch--I like your style!

Oooh, PumpkinPie.org looks rocking. But most of my/our fics are D/G (and much of it is NC-17), so it's nice to have a place where we can post most of our material. Though I remember when Jade and I first stumbled upon Portkey -- we were both all Image. LOL. We kept IMing every new restriction we found because it all seemed so wild ("Is this for real?"). But alas, we're used to it now. And in some ways I have to admit it's cool to have a place that caters to our primary pairing preferences, even if the stories themselves are restricted to be a certain way (but we know it's like that, so we take it all w/ a grain of salt). Portkey's restrictions certainly do not determine if/what elements I ultimately include in a story, just so I can post there. <shudder> Lord, no. Though, the other day I saw a D/G fic there wherein Draco is trying to get over his feelings for Harry, so there may be hope yet ... Though I suppose, one story does not a revolution make. <g>

So people do read stories off aff.net! I've always wondered if by posting a story there it was just kind of throwing it into an abyss. <g>

I don't mind saying -- you've totally made my week, Ang. Image
