Okay, so the show is still kind of lame.

But Syd and Sark KISSED. Squeeeeee!

Under totally contrived circumstances, but eh, everything about this show seems contrived lately. I'm just surprised -- pleasantly so -- that they even went there. She made him bleed. Bwahahahaha.

I'm not sure what the deal with the whole Lauren thing is. I mean, I suppose it should be touching in its own way, except that I still can't really believe it went as far as love -- for either of them. Maybe if they'd had more time, but really, their relationship had been all about sex, and then there were still power struggles. However, I do remember one of my favorite interactions between the two, when Lauren thought he was giving her up when he was really saving her ... and I do remember that he became kind of pussy whipped and it was annoying ... but love? I can only scratch my head. I'm hoping that what he really wanted was something Lauren had on her -- and that's why he insisted on seeing her body.

As for keeping her body all preserved like that in some CIA freezer? OMG so creepy. I mean, I guess it makes sense, but I'd never even considered that they might have something like that. Ewww.

Interesting that they got Melissa George back for this minor voice work and face shot. They didn't show her face for so long I didn't think they were going to -- we were only going to see Sark and Vaughn's reactions. And if they were going to show it, why not show it when Sark was looking at her, rather than suddenly when Vaughn looks? (As if Sark could demand Vaughn look at her, btw. 8-| He probably wanted Vaughn to be there because Sark was attempting something, and Vaughn's the stupidest one.) And Syd-as-Lauren had about three lines. Why even bother, honestly.

As for Sark refusing to talk to anyone who is not his intellectual equal? HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA, oh, gotta love the Vaughn diss there. Not that we didn't all know it already.

What's with Sark's new thing of "you can trust me, really"? Just another ploy a la Sloane, or are they actually attempting to change his character? I find it hard to believe a guy like that would truly change his colors after a year in prison; he's got another game going (I hope). Maybe he's in on it with Sloane. And clearly he had to have been Jack's confidential informant -- and Jack believed him. Also? No one seems overly concerned with the fact that Sark is at large again. Though YAY that he is. I wish I had any assurances that he'll show up again soon. (Though I'm sooooo glad he's not teamed up with Anna. I don't think I could take Sark/Anna.)

When the episode started, and we got the "previously on Alias" thingy, it made me realize that we haven't seen one of those this entire season. Alias isn't Alias without a 'previously.' Because the show is supposed to be serialized, damn it. It's just not as good when it isn't.

Wherefore art thou, Dixon? I'll stop mentioning his lack of anything to do when they, you know, give him something to do.

What was with Jack waking Nadia up from her coma? 1) How would she have been of assistance in their current case? 2) Given that he gave her four times the amount necessary to counteract whatever they gave her to put her in a coma, did he actually mean to kill her?

Why do Sydney and Vaughn have to hug after every fucking mission??? Can we get a little more professional, please? I mean, have your stupid relationship on your own time. But they're constantly doing shit like this with the enemy about three feet away. It's not only sophomoric, it's stupidity bordering on dangerous. But I'm sure that won't be the last we see of it. :p
