1) My older 20GB iPod crapped out this morning. I unplugged it from where it was charging and stuck it into my purse as I rushed out of the house to catch my bus. When I tried to use it, it was "frozen" on the screen where you make your first selection -- it still thinks it's charging or something, and unlocking it doesn't unlock it so I can't try to shut it down, etc. It's not even turning off on its own; it's just perpetually frozen on that screen. Sigh. I'm hoping that replugging it in, either to the charger or my computer, will jumpstart it somehow, or maybe until it runs out of juice by itself, but I won't be able to try anything until I get home.
2) My cell phone has also been acting up lately -- the problem with the Samsung Blackjack is that it's basically a mini-computer, and thus it sometimes "freezes." In the middle of a phone call. It still says it's connected, but it's not, and it won't let me hang up. So then I have to do a hard reboot. Lately it's been doing a thing where, in the middle of an activity, it suddenly says that it can't find my SIM card anymore. Why does technology hate me? Why?
3) Somehow 2 of the 3 avocados I bought the other day have gone mushy/bad. GRRRR.
4) Just read the latest Georgia Nicolson book, "Stop in the Name of Pants!". I love this series so. But her blindness wrt Dave the Laugh is sooooo frustrating. Maybe it was hormones or something, but this latest book actually made me CRY. Like sobbing kind of crying. O.o Maybe because it's normally so comedic any departure from it seems exaggerated? In any case, I consider this a "boo" because they made the first Georgia book into a movie (directed by Gurinder Chadha, who directed Bend It Like Beckham, so it should be decent) -- but it's only been released in the UK!! Georgia's American fans can just go rot, apparently.
