Jade and I are going to see X-Men 2 tomorrow. Yay! However, then on Sat. she will be heading back to LA and I probably won't see her again for months and months. ::sob:: We are attempting to get the next part of IYOK out before she goes, so I think I will get cracking on the sections I'm supposed to write. Oh how lovely collaborations are; you only have to write half as much! <g>
Where I was...
30 years ago -- Somewhere in the ether. A crazy idea brewing in my dad's mind. Or maybe I was an old wise woman living in the foothills of an area where ancient people once dwelled. Or maybe I was a dungbeetle.
20 years ago -- 1983. I turned six this year. Yeah, it's a blur.
10 years ago -- 1993. I turned 16. Got my first real boyfriend and even had to hide the relationship from my parents. Needless to say it didn't last long. Still, was having a pretty fun time in high school, sophomore/junior year and all. Crushed on many, many boys.
5 years ago -- 1998. Graduated from college. My what five years can do! Panicked about what I was going to do with my life. Moved to Washington, D.C. In the fall started my one-year stint on the Hill.
3 years ago -- 2000. Got hired on permanently at my current job. Settled in in Seattle. Missed my family, my friends, the sun.
1 year ago -- 2002. Started a new job though in the same division. Got really stressed out. Started getting into the HP fandom.
Yesterday -- Fucked around all morning, chatting with listmates on MM and LJ. Got mad about a stupid review. Wrote a few pages of IYOK. Jade made orange ginger chicken for dinner (yum!). Yelled at Talis for peeing in the house. Watched Angel and got excited/confused. Skipped out of work early.
Today -- Woke up to the sound of Talis playing with his duck. Browsed LJ and the LA Times (yeah, that's the same). Will be watching Friends tonight and also hopefully get a lot of writing done.
Tomorrow -- Jade and I are watching X-Men 2! Dinner at good Chinese restaurant awaits. After movie, banana burritos at Desert Fire. Mmmmmm.
