Snowmageddon is upon me. So much snow everywhere ahhhh. It's particularly bad up north where I live; once you get out to the eastside and Seattle it's not quite as bad, but I think it's going to get there. Last night I did drive to West Seattle for the Spring Hill fried chicken dinner, and it wasn't bad at all once I was on the freeway. It was delish, as usual. They started doing 'flavors,' but the original is still the best. I still wish the sides were more traditional fried chicken sides, but I must admit that the spam musubi and macaroni salad are pretty darn delicious.

Obviously, this terrible weather happened just to keep me from getting/reading Death Note Vol. 7. SIGH.

I can't believe Sherlock S2 is already over. Seriously, three episodes does not make for a proper season. Sigh. Like S1, I thought the middle episode was the weakest...they probably do that on purpose. But unlike S1, I thought the finale was the best.

- OK, I'm curious as to why they felt the opening scene was necessary. Why tell us in advance that Sherlock was 'dead'? When I never believed it for a second? Why not just let the episode play out, and then have Sherlock commit suicide at the end? Why start with John at the therapist's? Just to bookend the episode?

- WTF did he and Molly do, exactly? It makes no SENSE. I mean, I hope it doesn't turn out to be something really lame, like that it was a dummy somehow. But I mean, John witnessed the whole thing... and so did 'we'... yeah, I don't know. Wait, there was that moment when he was conveniently knocked down by that bicyclist... so I wonder if there was body switching going on there (even though we the audience totally see Sherlock's face as he's falling). If the bicyclist was hired by Sherlock, then there's probably at least one more person, in addition to Molly, who's in on the secret. Maybe Mycroft, or even Lestrade.

- I'm really glad that Molly got to do something for Sherlock, though. I do have, as I mentioned before, a soft spot for that relationship (not necessarily romantic).

- I dig on the idea that Moriarty never realized that Sherlock cared about her all this time, and that's why she was like, his secret weapon. Then again, maybe he doesn't really care about her, and she was just someone he could use to achieve his end goal.

- I also dig that Lestrade was one of the people Sherlock cared most about. <3

- I love Moriarty. I love his little plan, and how he was so insane and committed to it that he effing blew his own brains out to follow through on it. I mean, seriously. But I also really, really hope he's not dead. Imagine me saying John's speech at Sherlock's grave, only it's to the Moriarty character. I mean...I'm not a big Sherlock Holmes lore person but isn't Moriarty his big arch nemesis? Would they really kill off such a wonderful character (particularly as portrayed by Andrew Scott) in the second season of the series?? And is he quite that insane, to kill himself just to complete his little game for Sherlock? I just don't know if I buy that he's that self destructive.

- Sigh, but it would appear that in canon, Moriarty did die. BOO.

- I freaking can't stand Donovan. I hated her from the moment we met her in the first episode, and now it's been solidified.

- The writing, directing, acting, and music for this episode were all fabulous.

- My little crush on John has been growing and growing. He was so great in so many scenes, but I think I liked the part where he's assuring Sherlock that he doesn't doubt him, best. "No, I know you for real." "100%?" "No one could fake being such an annoying dick all the time." Understated, but funny and wonderful.

- No wait, maybe my favorite Watson scene was when he rips Mycroft a new one about blabbing about Sherlock to Moriarty.

- Or maybe the gravesite scene... OK, OK, what can I say, Martin Freeman needs a BAFTA.

I can't believe the Golden Globes came and went and I barely even had it on my radar. Also that the best picture/actor/actress/director winners were total unknowns to me (as in, the movies).

I'm amazed that Homeland won for Best Drama. Wow. I've been enjoying it from the start, I mentioned it a couple of times, but... I don't think it's that great. I mean, that's why I haven't talked about it much. No surprise on Peter Dinklage. Great choice on Jessica Lange -- she is fabulous in American Horror Story.
