OMG. Arrested Development fans -- it's back! They're not only doing a movie, they're also doing 10 more episodes! Unclear to me whether this is definitely just a one-time thing to wrap things up, or if there's a chance it could get picked up again for more.
I finally saw the BBC version of Sense & Sensibility. I was underwhelmed. It wasn't much different from the 1995 Ang Lee/Emma Thompson movie, which was excellent. I'm not sure why anyone felt this 3-hour version had to be made. There was about an hour too much of Willoughby, who wasn't even attractive. There was also less humor, and I generally preferred the actors from the movie, most notably: Kate Winslet as Marianne (I did not like the BBC's choice for Marianne), Hugh Laurie as Mr. Palmer, Alan Rickman as Colonel Brandon. I like the new Elinor and Edward (I love Emma, but she was probably too old for that role, and Hugh Grant was fine, but the new Edward is very attractive). Anyway. If I'd never seen the movie I probably would have enjoyed it more, but basically I felt like this was an inferior remake.
