1) If you're going to a meet-the-author thing, and there's going to be around 30 people there, and it's company-sponsored so it's not like these are going to be the author's greatest fans in the world, how many books do you think you could get signed without it seeming rude/greedy? And are paperbacks (trade) even worth getting signed? I'm leaving in about 45 min. for the Meg Cabot thing so insight here would be v. appreciated.

Date: 2004-01-12 10:08 am (UTC)2) I think its because they expect you to be 'dainty' *scoffs* when pulling tissues out and the second one is meant to stay in the box but stick out. Kleenex's standard of dainty however is rather high. Elitists.

Date: 2004-01-12 10:15 am (UTC)2) No, I mean ... I know that all the succeeding tissues stay in the box but "stick out" for easy removal later. However, my experience has been that when you open a new box of tissue, the first pull is inevitably two tissues, which they have layered together. And the third tissue is the one that "sticks out." <g> Meanwhile, the second tissue is rather messily stuffed back into the box for future use. It's so annoying!
