If you have somehow missed the PoA trailer, it's here. Note: Tom looks much better in context, and the screenshot we saw did capture an unfortunate moment. Not to mention, still images usually don't do him justice, imho. [livejournal.com profile] akscully, oh ye of little faith. And -- it's confirmed, I love Alfonso Cuaron. Granted, it was just a teeny trailer, but the man who brought us A Little Princess and the superfantabulous kiss-between-kids in Great Expectations will not lead us astray. I'm just bummed he didn't sign on earlier, and that he's only signed on for this one.

Thanks for everyone's comments about the ficbit, though it ended up being something far more interesting -- insight into people's reactions to "When I'm Here."

I'm TIRED. It was a struggle to get out of bed this morning. You know those days where you absolutely dread having to get out of your comfy bed, to the point where you wake up several times in the night hoping that time hasn't come yet, and then when the alarm goes, it feels like you haven't slept at all? Yeah, you know what I'm talking about.

Saw 28 Days Later the other evening. I actually rather liked it, for what it was. Far more than, say, Dreamcatcher. It even gave me a plot bunny. Draco. Ginny. Zombies. It just fits. Just kidding, no zombies are involved in the bunny, though if you really want to see it... And while he's not conventionally handsome, there's something about Christopher Eccleston that I find v. attractive.

Oh, like I was the only one who thought Draco looked funny in that picture, Ms. Selective Memory.

Did not that trailer rock it hardcore? Loved the frogs. Draco did look hot blowing the crane. Hahahahaha, blowing the crane. Blowing the crane OF LOVE.

I am an amusing woman.

Yes, but remember, I said that there was still hope they caught him at a bad moment. You said, "Puberty has made him oogly. Just accept it." You are the one with a selective memory, Ms. Naughty Halloween Costumes!!!

Blowing the crane OF LOVE.

*dies laughing* But yes, there was hotness.

You probably need QuickTime, O Apple Girl. You can download it at Apple's Web site, I'm sure.

When I go to the page on the link, I get nothing. Just a blank page.

*sigh.*

right click, save-target-as. It should open up in Quicktime from your hard drive. :)

And having said that...I think WB took their trailer down. If you go to The Leaky Cauldron and try some of the other links, they should work. :)

I love Alfonso Cuaron as well, but you knew that. You can notice certain things of his in the trailer, like some camera angles that he liks to use. But what gives him away are the wide outdoor shots. And it's nice to see that he still likes to tint everything green.

It's a pity he didn't team up with cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki again as he did for Great Expectations and Y Tu Mama Tambien for those outdoor shots, but they look awesome nonetheless. Hogsmeade covered by snow looks wonderful. And that Sirius poster... This is going to look great on the DVD.

And by the way, you can tell just by looking at the trailer that this movie is going to be darker. If the chorus is not enough of a clue, I think that cool dementor hand is warning enough. Now just give me a couple of pumpkin scenes and I'll be in heaven. :p

Ahh yes. He does look much better in context. I fear that picture did him no justice. And his hair is still not as nice as I would like it to be, but he still looks yummy.

I almost felt wrong just watching that one part where Draco, ehem, blows the bird. He actually was kind of cute. Gah! What has the world come to?

*hugs* sorry you're feeling off :(

I actually never saw Great Expectations, byt Little Princess was great, and Y Tu Mama Tambien was great :D

Woohoo! more d/g from sarea?

Ok so regarding the trailor, I always denied that Tom Felton was hot, b/c he was so LITTLE....but in this trailor...oh he's looking goood....

Why does draco have to be such a bastard? I mean, I seriously thinking, at least for the moment, canon-wise, the boy is going BAD. That doesn't bode well for our D/G-ness :(

Ah well, at least we have the fandom...

*mwah*

He does look less than perfect. I think all of them are going through that bad phase of puberty. Did you see Neville?

Also, I'm not convnced that now is the best time for Draco to stop slicking his hair back. Couldn't he wait until Goblet?

I loved the trailer and my guess is that this is going to be the best Harry Potter movie yet. That other director tried to pack too much into each episode. There's a basic narrative in each of the books that must be respected—even if it is at the expensense of certain incidents or visuals. I think Cuaron understands this (If The Little Princess is any indication. So I have high hopes for this film.
