Post this puppy in your own LJ to pass the meme on, but let me know if you've answered it so I can go check it out! Robbie, I hope you plan to provide your own answers as well...
1--If you could introduce two of your LJ friends who don't know each other, who would they be, and why?
Hmmm. I think I'd introduce
sydney_lynne and
mynuet, because they're both such hardcore D/G-ers and it seems wrong that they don't know each other. (Or maybe they do, and I'm unaware of it.)
Edited to add: Okay, as per Mynuet below, apparently they do know of each other, at least, so I will need to choose two other people. In that case, I would like to introduce
gnrationfo to
seldon and
rainpuddle13 because they're all comic book geeks. Oh, did I say geeks? I meant freaks. No wait, I meant, connoisseurs.
2--If you had to choose between your TV and your computer, which would you choose?
"Computer" was my gut answer, but you know, I'm not sure. Without TV, I might not want/need to be online so much. And I can always talk to my friends on the phone ... Oh, never mind. I would totally choose my computer. After all, you can get those TV cards and things and watch TV on your computer.
3--If you've participated in fandom besides reading or writing fan fiction, in what ways have you participated? Have you a) gone to conventions; b) played RPGs; c) made fan art; d) written a fan letter; e) stalked a celebrity? e) changed anything about yourself, physically or otherwise, (e.g. hair color, fashion style, the car you drive) because of fandom; f) other? name it!
Boy, this makes me feel like I haven't done anything. Have NOT: gone to any conventions, made fan art (as I can't draw worth crap, but I have made manipulations and avatars and stuff), written a fan letter, stalked a celebrity (that time we were looking for the XF set I was so freaking uncomfortable), or changed anything about myself, other than the time I spend online.
I've met people in the fandom, does that count? Though not really in the HP fandom yet, as my trip to Okt00berfest had to be canceled. And I have an LJ that I use to interact w/ fandomers. And I used to play in an RPG -- I think that counts! Oooh, and I installed Y!M, which I didn't have prior to Trium, and still use it to chat w/ other fandomers.
4--If you could be immortal with no chance of becoming mortal again, would you choose to be?
Aiiieeeee ... I suppose if there were no downsides, like getting old or being the evil undead having to kill people to drink their blood, it'd be a pretty difficult offer to ignore. I mean, I might get sick of life after 400 years or so and regret my decision, but right now? I think I'd do it. Sure, I'd eventually lose all my family and friends, but there's always meeting new people. :D
5--What is your favorite brand/variety of potato chips? (And if you don't eat potato chips, why are you such a freak?)
I love plain Lays. Yep, plain Lays.
6--How many LiveJournals do you have? If you have more than one, are they all active, and why do you have multiple journals?
I have created multiple journals, but I find it v. difficult to concentrate on more than one journal at a time -- at least on a personal journal level. When I was playing in Trium, I totally juggled multiple journals, and it was hard sometimes, but for the most part fine. But for instance, I have all but abandoned my XF journal now.
7--If your life had a slogan, what would it be?
Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?
8--What's your least favorite holiday? Why?
Ugh, need you ask? Should have asked what your favorite holiday was, because I'm sure the vast majority is going to say VALENTINE'S DAY. Though wait, I suppose that's not really a holiday, is it. Okay, how about Columbus Day, because I don't get that day off? Okay, of all the real holidays, my least favorite is New Year's. It just seems excessive and it's really not all that exciting to me to ring in the new year. The food is also less good, and you're already coming off the high/fun of Christmas. :D
9--Would you rather give up an arm or a leg?
Depends on which arm, I suppose. If my left arm, then a leg, because I wouldn't be able to do shit w/ my right arm (except use scissors, and really, that not as useful as, say, writing or eating). But still, even if it were my right arm, I think I'd give up a leg instead. Though I would really prefer to keep all my limbs, thank you.
10--if you could have any single option added to your automobile, what would it be?
Heat-seeking missiles. Okay, I'd settle for a compass.
