My thoughts on AtS S2 eps that I've seen so far -- spoilers ahoy!

Judgment - Awwww. Faith at the end! That was an unexpected but lovely surprise. Turned on my Angel/Faith vibe. I thought the pregnant woman was lame.

Are You Now or Have You Ever Been - This one was pretty cool; I like learning more about Angel and what went down in his life in the intervening years between getting souled and meeting Buffy. However, color me stunned that he was still this uncaring/indifferent to the human race and it was the 1950s! It's kind of contradictory considering immediately after he was souled he was already feeling guilty about some of the things he'd done; he stopped drinking humans, etc. But anyway, so what finally made him start thinking he wanted to be redeemed, then? I mean, by the time he meets up w/ that dude who takes him to Buffy, he's like living off rats on the streets.

First Impressions - Awww. I <3 David Nabbit. Trying on the Cordy/Gunn UST, I see. The actors didn't have that much chemistry, but the writing was really strong so it carried them. I'm liking Gunn more and more. I like this in-between Gunn ... he's not the total punkass of S1, but he's also not all neutered like he is now. V. interesting that Darla's visiting Angel in his dreams and he doesn't seem to think it's odd.

Untouched - The girl kept making me think of Ginny. Heehee. Liked the ep, but not as much as the others.

Dear Boy - Angel finally says something to Cordy and Wes about the Darla dreams. It's really interesting to me that he surely thought it was odd before this, and it's only NOW that he even bothers to mention it? It seemed to me that he even wanted to be having the dreams ... which is so heartbreaking and worrisome at the same time. Definitely my Angel/Darla flag has gone up. W00t!

Guise Will Be Guise - Wesley as Angel ... bwahahahahhaa. This is the ep I first semi-saw, but I didn't understand any of it and didn't continue to watch the show. I found Virginia kind of annoying ... though I was like, "A redhead named Virginia! Heehee!" So, like, what, Wesley had a girlfriend in S2?

Darla - I love this ep. Love learning so much about Darla. And of course, love seeing Spike again, and the shot of the Terrible Foursome walking through fire and destruction. I don't know if they did it on purpose, but I've always loved the image of Spike leaping in the air ... kind of symbolic for the dynamics of the group: Angel's struggling with who he is, while Spike is just starting to come into his own, killing a Slayer and all.

The Shroud of Rahmon - I guess the big thing here is Kate. What's her deal? Why is her hair so bad? I haven't liked her much this season. I guess if they wanted her to be the big love interest this would be good build up, but Kate/Angel has never really interested me all that much. Maybe because I started watching AtS mid-S3, and by then she was long gone.

The Trial - Love. this. ep. Major Angel/Darla. They both break my heart. And the final wrenching scene! Eep! Dru gets all the best entrances. You know, given how important Darla was ... such a huge part of Angel's history (and I think that for two soulless, blood-sucking demons to have stuck together for as long as they did surely means something), it's REALLY lame how he dusted her w/ no problem back on BtVS.

Reunion - Not sure I really buy Darla being upset over being turned back into a vamp, once she's a vamp again. Or Dru wibbling about how it was what she thought Darla wanted. I'm liking Lindsey very much, but Lindsey/Darla doesn't do much for me. I was v. shocked that Angel left Darla and Dru there to feast on the W&H folks. Then why'd he go there at all? Honestly.

Redefinition - Angel's cracking up. He thinks he's being focused, but I just call it crazy. The karaoke bar scene w/ Gunn, Wes, and Cordy is the BEST THING EVER. And why is it that when the vamps we know come into contact w/ fire or sunlight, it takes them ages to turn to dust, when, when other vamps do the same thing, they're incinerated immediately? Is kind of annoying.

Blood Money - Oooh, the return of Anne! I like seeing this character's progression, considering she's so minor she can't even be called a minor character. She looked v. different, though. It was her speech patterns that finally made me convinced it was the same girl (not to mention the name). And is official: I love Lindsey. He delivers the best line in the world:

Lilah: "So - what if this guy is actually as good as he says and actually kills Angel?"
Lindsey: "............ Boo. HOO! Let me wipe away the tears with my plastic hand!"

*snickersnickersnicker*

Happy Anniversary - Awww. Felt sorry for the dude, even if what he wanted to do was kind of creepy. And YET ANOTHER redhead! This one looked most like the Ginny I picture, though. When she was w/ the nerd guy I kept thinking of him as being Harry, and all sorts of plot bunnies danced in my head. Nothing coherent, though. And Virginia came back! I didn't know Wes was all girlfriendy in S2.

Apparently, little kids can't see the couple in the picture because they don't have any prior associations. They'll see nine dolphins. If you can't find the dolphins in six seconds, your mind's corrupted.

Okay, didn't need this test to confirm the corruption of my mind, but it's still embarrassing how long it took me to find the dolphins (way longer than six seconds, I'll tell you that). If you're utterly corrupted, and cannot see them for the life of you (I suspect

akscully will have problems), go here.

ETA: *points at friends* SINNERS! You're all sinners!!! (Except for

seldon, who is apparently just smart.) It's okay, though. I don't think I'd want to be friends with anyone who 1) saw the dophins instead of the smut; or 2) was able to see the dolphins in 6 seconds after learning they were there, instead of being distracted by the smut.
