How can it ONLY be Thursday???

1. Today is the day I realized that I'm not cool enough to hang with gnrationfo. Not only did he give the best interview ever (some things made me drop my jaw in shock -- I think you'll identify what quite easily), but he was also in the LA Times (full feature here), and Margaret Cho knows who he is and is his celebrity groupie. Obviously, he is going to forget about all the little people. I hate it when friends become successful and forget all about you. At least I'll always have jade_okelani and ropo, I suppose.

2. Sean (my neighbor's hottie son) is apparently no longer going to be around, because their place has a big "for rent" placard in the window. Wah. Hey Jade, wanna move into Mr. Heckles's place and we can be neighbors? You can bang on the wall and yell "QUIET DOWN!" while Talis barks his yappy head off.

3. I am going to be watching Pirates of the Caribbean for the third time tonight. I'm actually going at the behest of Julie, who did some casual flirting with a boy she is not really interested in and now needs a buffer. She suspects that he was only casually flirting as well, and still wants to be friends with him, but just in case, we have to do the Bring a Friend to the Movie So It's Clear It's Not a Date thing. Actually what she did was say that she and I were going to the movies, and he could feel free to come along if he wanted. Neither of them have seen it. I admit she did not have to twist my arm very much ...

4. lissinthecity has finished LIAC1! Congrats, babe! *stays silent about own pathetic writing attempts*

5. Weekend w/ cousin was v. bearable. They were hardly around, which was fine by me. We had one breakfast together, there was barking and some biting attempts from Talis, we watched Catch Me If You Can, they left some Odwalla bars they didn't want to take back (I refused the jar of macadamia nuts, however), we didn't go to a massage because 8am was just way too early in the freaking morning. So, good times.

7. I am just going to keep adding to this list, as I keep forgetting things. I have a fic rec. I'm probably late to the party, but I adored Over Time: First Friends by Mynuet. There aren't enough stories where D&G are friends before there's anything else ... that was one of the things Jade and I wanted to do w/ IYOK.
