Latest entry on my food blog is about donut peaches and bacon, mmm. Includes a gratuitous shot of frying pork. And behind the following cut is a picture of a lone donut peach that I wanted to include, but couldn't find room for. So I'm making it a star here!



Why isn't my Wii here yeeeeeetttt?? (I'm so patient.)

I'm rewatching Alias S1. I remember it being better than this. Maybe it's because I keep wanting Irina to show up.

Oh by the way? I have a bug bite on my FACE. Right on my left cheek. It looks slightly better now, but for awhile it was this giant swollen purple thing. ON MY FACE. Seriously, worst place I've ever had a bug bite.

This weekend I went to see Tropic Thunder and have sushi with corianderstem. The movie was entertaining, though not quite as hilarious as I had been expecting from the trailer (with the exception of the opening "previews" -- that was pure gold), and the sushi was fresh and delicious. I ordered the "chef's selection" sashimi plate, which made up for its lack of variety by giving me a lot of hamachi, my favorite fish (see avatar!). Probably my fault, as I had asked the server beforehand to make sure the plate included some hamachi (for if it hadn't, I would have been very put out).

re: Alias, it's because there's so much Vaughn crap in season 1, and it's all about S/V and them building trust, and so many great moments are about that, and yet now that you know what a pussy Vaughn is, it's just not interesting.

I still think the pilot is one of the strongest pilots of all time, and it works for me a lot, because the one thing the show never betrayed was the Sydney/Jack relationship, and that's so integral to it.

But yeah, that's my theory on s1 not being as good as it was, even the second time I watched it. I just cannot abide the Vaughn stuff, so it becomes boring watching them fall in love.

We had to meet up so A. could return the discount card I'd lent her so we used it as an excuse to have sushi, lol. I'd like to go back to the sushi place you took us to; that chef's selection had a lot of variety, from what I remember.

We should try and hit every damn sushi place in the Seattle/Tacoma area. That should keep the three of us busy until we're all 50. *g*
