too...much...ice...cream...
Sep. 19th, 2009 08:16 pm34 states down! Today was a veritable treasure trove of out-of-state cars. :D I got: Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and West Virginia. I saw a ton of others that I already had, too. Wowzers, what is everyone doing in the Puget Sound? Not enjoying the weather, that much I know. It was in the mid-60s today after pouring during the night. So much for being in the 80s. Weather people are useless.
The Penn plate I got had the word "Pennsylvania" totally obscured by the license plate frame, grr. However at the bottom of the plate you can see "www.state.pa.us" so I think it still counts.
( I also got a shot of this plate that is too blurry to read. Anyone recognize it? )
If you want to see what I'm still missing, I'm keeping a running tab here.
I went to Half-Price Books to buy the 4th book of the Song of Ice and Fire series, A Feast for Crows, as I don't have it, and found a first edition hardcover signed by GRRM. :D *geeks out* Anyway, my eye was drawn to the flap and I read some of it (I thought it was safe!! The summaries on the first two books are totally vague!) and WAS TOTALLY SPOILED ROTTEN ON SOME THINGS. ( Spoilers ahoy. )
I also got the 6th book in the Outlander series for $2. Sure, I only read the first two books, but one day I may go back to it! Part of the problem is that I loved the first book due to the Claire/Jamie relationship, and the focus of the books became less focused on that (at least, that was the case in the second book, and I assume subsequent novels, since they're no longer shelved in the romance section, but in fantasy). Plus with all the characters and historical events and time travel, it just got way too convoluted for my poor brain. Anyway, apparently it's finally being scripted for a film?! By none other than Randall Wallace (who did Braveheart, which was awesome ... but also Pearl Harbor, which was less awesome)?! Eeee!
