What a game. It all worked out as it should, in my opinion. Reggie Bush won the Heisman, and Vince Young led his Longhorns to a national championship. :-)

I don't often write in to news sites, but I made an exception this time. I mean, I just HAD to thank T.J. Simers at the L.A. Times. I owe him a lot. Without him, well...

To T.J. Simers:

I never cared about the Texas Longhorns before this year, but I have
you to thank for the elation I feel right now. Were it not for your
obnoxious columns, I might have had a fairly boring Jan. 4. So

And just so this isn't all about football, I do want you guys to know that I have started to work on the sequel to Portkey Party. My biggest obstacle at the moment is the fact that I seem to have lost ALL MY NOTES for that fic. *weeps* I'm in the process of rebuilding, but it's always hard to do that, especially when I keep hoping I'll find the notes any day now. :-S

I definitely agree with the "Everything worked out as it should" comment - RB wasn't a huge factor in tonight's game, but from a strictly college career/current season point of view he deserves the trophy. VY blew everyone away tonight, though, that's for sure. He looked like he ruled every inch of tarp on that field.

And YAY for a PP sequel!!! Don't forget about If You Only Knew...;) ;)

In my humble opinion it was one hell of a game and a nailbiter till the very end. I was rooting for USC because they're fellow Pac 10ners, but I'm not too upset that the Longhorns won...they're an amazing team.

Anyways, wooohoooo! on Portkey Party!!! Hope you had a wonderful New Years!!

Love the irony of Vince Young, being in contention for the Heisman but getting beat by Bush, leading the Longhorns to an upset (19 seconds left!) over USC.
