Seriously, what a fabulous opening for a fic. :)) Sorta grabs one's attention, doesn't it? Hee. It's called "Five Things That Don't Suprise Veronica Mars," by sltt, and can be found here. Pretty short, but well worth the read.

Talis let me sleep in 15 minutes today! What a good boy. Of course, he did sorta keep me up with his grooming. Yes, apparently, bedtime also doubles as grooming time. I could hear him licking himself until I fell asleep. *cough* The word I'm looking for is anyway...

It is quite likely/possible that I am going to start yet another WoW character. *cries* My brother may be playing again, as apparently some of his coworkers are on Hyjal, and he's excited by the prospect that maybe we'll get enough people together for a "real guild" this time. I guess I don't really mind starting another char, as long as I'm not supposed to treat it as my main. I really only want to have one -- maybe two -- end-game chars, and the only one I'm sure of right now is Elisabeth. We'll have to see which of my alts rises to the #2 position. Maybe Inara, maybe this new Hyjal char. The other downside to starting another new char on Hyjal is that they're playing Alliance. :p Hurry up and get here, blood elves!

Says the person who logged into the Llane boards today to pick a different alt, and realized I had three columns, and 6 rows.

Of course, two of those are bank characters, one is a name reserve, and another was for a guild signing that I never got to play in the guild, and now the person who created it is on a long-term, maybe permanent, hiatus from WoW.

And I think I need to make a bank character for TNFC. We have more friends of mine joining up.

You are so lucky to have so many friends who play WoW. I can't believe I don't know more, actually. I mean, millions of people play that damn game! And yet I can count on one hand -- maybe one and a half -- how many of them I actually know. Waahhh.

But you guys have a full group there! I don't want to be the 6th wheel. :)) The real reason, though, is the whole alt thing. I simply can't keep up with more than two alts (and even that's a challenge) -- not really. I don't know how you do it! I get way too into playing one of them, and then I don't want to play anything but that char. Plus with Elisabeth I'm trying to keep up my PvP ranking, so it's almost like I feel obligated to sign on as her and put myself in a bg queue just in case one starts (since there are dry spells of no bgs whatsoever). If only I could be signed on as two chars at once! :p

Well, the TNFC crew may be full (our pally is being quite flaky!!), but Hilde and Amaranthia are loooonely! They have Maida sneaking up on them. A paladin, druid, and hunter will likely kick some SERIOUS ass.

And don't you not need to keep your ranking to keep using your phat loots? I heard that went in...we have folk on Llane who are getting High Warlord and quitting PVP because they've got it all now.

What lvl are Hilde and Amaranthia now? I have a lvl 34 mage on SM that I've all but abandoned, could bring her out of the inn possibly. :)) When do you guys usually play? Tuesdays?

I haven't heard anything about being able to keep loot even if you lose your rank (I thought only the stuff you couldn't lose was the loot you got through rep, like with the Frostwolf Clan). Even if that's true, I'm not hugely concerned with it, as neither Senior Sergeant nor First Sergeant really have good loot associated w/ them (imho) -- at least not for a priest. Mostly I just want to rank up so that I can be a higher rank. :)) It just seems a shame to lose one's rank, because you'll just have to do it all over again if you want to regain it. And I've already spent too much time getting Elisabeth to SS to let her slide now! On a side note, I don't think anyone on Kilrogg has gotten High Warlord yet.

Hilde is 39, Ama is 41, maybe 42. Maida is 36, unless Fear's leveled her up.

We don't play these guys on Tuesdays. that's Jeudi, Jazra, Piffle, Emillee and occasionally Haigun. Ama and Hilde are the ones that are extras, so we play them whenever. Hubby's been playing a LOT more than I have, but he's been herbing and potioning to get his mount. He's almost got enough for it with a week's work! Herbs are selling like mad!

We will likely play some this weekend, may even try to do SM if we can get a good group. Wanna come?

Thanks for the invite! Depends when -- email me if/when you guys go. I forget what the lvl is for SM, would I be too low? If I'm online I check email fairly regularly, so if I can go I'll respond right away. If you don't hear from me within 15 min., go on w/o me. On Sats I have a standing "play date" with my Frostmane crew -- we're hoping to do VC soon (and we have to do it multiple times, because 3 of us are cloth-wearers and we all want the Emberstone staff :p).

Well, we did the first part of SM last night with three 34s, a 37, and a 43 on Bronzebeard.

I don't know if we'll make it this weekend or not, but if we did, it would likely be on Saturday. Meh.

I will check with Fear, maybe we can arrange a good time for all of us on Sunday? Have to end before 4:00 my time, which is 1:00 server time, which might be a problem...?

Cuz I'm lazy, I'm going to respond to your other comment from here, too. I'm kinda done with him, too, but he's my brother so I can't actually be done with him. I did tell him that I didn't know whether you guys would be up for creating yet another char, especially when we've all just created new ones very recently. Plus I'd want some kind of money-back guarantee that he won't up and quit again, the lameass. Anyway, I will let you know what comes of it, and if you want to, you can join me in happy-alt land.

How many alts?

Well, there's about 110 servers, and you get 8 character slots per server... :D

I think it's 10 characters per server, and 50 characters total.

Is it 10 characters? I've never tested it per server...I just assumed it was 8. How could you keep track of what char was where if you had one on every server? I'd go crazy. ;)

I'm sure I read somewhere that it was 8, also, and that's why we tested it. I've never before heard of the 50 char limit. I'm on many servers now and so far it hasn't been a problem keeping track of them -- but then, it's not like I play all of them all the time. O.o When do you play/who's your current main?

I have a handful of alts that I created mainly to a) save the name, and b) mess around with the character creation because I love playing with hairstyles. My main right now is Maida on Silvermoon (37 dwarven paladin), and I have a 53 Night Elf hunter on Azol Nejub (or whatever, I play on it, I can't spell it) named Yseult. I usuall sneak in an hour or two on weeknights, and somewhat longer on weekends, depending on how guilty I feel about playing video games while the dust bunnies stare accusingly at me from the corners.
