Interests are very interesting
Sep. 19th, 2005 11:59 pmSo, good news. I received three offers on my condo. Two of them ended up going beyond my asking price. End result is that the offer I've accepted is 8% more than what I had listed it at. The real estate market is so insane right now. O.o And they want to close in 20 days instead of 30, which is great for me since I'm not even living there anymore. I'm so crossing my fingers right now and hoping everything goes smoothly, as I just want this over with. My parents' typical response? "You listed it too low! You could have gotten even more!" I'm like, gah, JUST BE HAPPY. I think this is an alien concept to them.
Damn it, they made me fill out 11 so I put in the 11th one even though their form doesn't. :-l Why must I do everything myself?!

This series blew me away. It was so finely done in every conceivable way that there's almost no way I can do it justice with words. Just watch it. You'll be so enthralled you almost won't notice all the cute boys running around. I said almost. - christian bale:
HAHAHA oh I love that Christian got randomly chosen. I've loved him since I was a wee schoolgirl (well, high school, but come on, my maturity then was wee) and saw him in Newsies. I'm so glad he wasn't one of those child actors who faded away. Also, he's in Empire of the Sun, which is probably my favorite movie of all time. - e.s. posthumus:
You've probably heard e.s. posthumus and never realized it. Their music is used in a ton of movie promos and the like. Their album "Unearthed" is absolutely amazing. I love it to pieces. It also, for me, serves as a general soundtrack to the DT, because I was reading the DT for the first time when I initially got the album. I keep waiting for them to put another album out, but they haven't. :( - green day:
I've always loved Green Day, ever since Dookie (more high school memories), but it wasn't until recently that I started to really love Green Day -- maybe because I finally really got what they were about and it was the respect that changed it for me. Billie Joe is an absolute genius. - lefties:
I'm interested in lefties because ... well, I am one. It's always fascinated me that people favor one side of their body over another. What is that? All things happen/exist for a reason to get us where we are today. So what evolutionary reason is there that most people are right handed? It's such a strange, perplexing mystery. - mal/inara:
Whoooo! A very new interest that I hold great affection for. It's a ship I almost can't believe I like. If someone were to just describe the two characters to me, I wouldn't be the least interested. But this USTy canon couple on "Firefly" is so wonderfully portrayed by the writers and actors that there's no hope for me but to love them. <3 - prince of persia:
Probably one of the best Xbox games I've ever played -- not only because the game itself is insanely fun, but because the storyline is so damn good. I don't know any other video game that could get me to ship its characters. O.o Very funny and well written. And yes, I'm still talking about the game. - sarkney:
I loves me the Sarkney! <3 This is a ship that grew from little tiny seeds. I loved Alias. I loved Sydney. I loved Sark. They seemed to have an interesting dynamic, and thus, a ship interest was born. It's also frustrating as hell to ship, because it's on a J.J. Abrams show. And the one thing J.J. Abrams will do is not leave room for any interpretation. He'll shove his ship preferences down your throat until you gag on them. He could really learn from Joss Whedon and Chris Carter in this regard. It's the slow burn that makes it good, J.J. - south park:
Probably my favorite cartoon of all time. I just love how the boys go from being insanely worldly and mature to being 8-year-olds in the blink of an eye. They're disarming precisely because you never know what funny/insightful/innocent/crass thing they're going to say next. Also, if you've never heard Cartman singing Styx's "Come Sail Away," you haven't truly lived. - sushi:
Mmmmmmmmmsushi. Sometimes I wish I had never developed a taste for it. I loved Japanese food as a kid, but the texture of raw fish in my mouth made me gag (and my parents laugh). But it was probably more knowing that it was raw fish, than anything. Yeah, I got over it. Now I could eat it every day and I'd be soooo happy. - xbox:
Ah, my Xbox. It has brought me many hours of entertainment. Relatively speaking, I'm actually a very casual gamer. My favorite Xbox games include: Monopoly, Prince of Persia, The Simpsons: Hit and Run, Fable, Buffy. I would put Lego Star Wars in that list, except, you know, Jade stole it.
