New meme, tweaked from [livejournal.com profile] heinous_bitca:

Put the lyrics of one of your favorite songs into Babelfish. Translate them from English to German, then German to French, then French to English. Post the results here with 3 clues. See who gets the song right first. (It was ridiculously hard to find a song that didn't re-translate too accurately! Go Babelfish.)

Clue 1: The English lyrics I used for this song were actually already translated from the original language.

Clue 2: It's the theme song from a movie.

Clue 3: The movie's protagonists strongly reminded me of D&G the first time I saw it.

Lyrics: It's calling out from deep within the heart I always want to dream cheerful dreams sadness edge never Be counted goal I will Be whitebait to see you one the other side every time people repeat mistakes, they know the blue of the simply blue sky it seems have yew the road continuous endlessly goal these hands edge find light the calm heart when parting the ear listens have the body exchanges to zero living room, mysterious, dying, mysterious the flower, the wind, the city; they're the same

Meme from yesterday is still open, if you want to give it a shot and get a drabble. It's just like the Oscars poll -- might as well just make some random guesses, 'cause what do you have to lose? <g>

Also, can anyone rec me some D/G fics? They don't have to be new stories or anything (though if they're new, the chances are less likely I'll have read them), but I've been hankering to read some fic lately. (Yes, even despite my WoW obsession.) What are some of your favorite stories? Include ones you think I'll already know and ones you think I won't, because ... you never know! Links would also be nice. :D

Oops, wrong tag for the last one. The correct link is Mine2 (http://fanfiction.portkey.org/story/4196)

Thanks! Mine2 was great -- really liked how dark it was and how it stayed dark throughout the course of their relationship. And yet it had that twisted D/G t00bage that I enjoy always. :D

As for your other recs ... I actually try to stay away from WIPs most of the time, because I'm just not a fan of reading incomplete stories (either I forget what happens in the story by the time an update is made, or the author abandons it, and I never get to find out what happened). It's just a lot more fun for me to read complete stories, but I'll definitely check them out once they're finished. Personally, I don't know how people can keep up with so many WIPs (including my own). I wouldn't blame anyone for not reading any of my unfinished stories until they were complete.

Just as an FYI, "Sick" is actually complete - it's just not posted in its entirety at Portkey yet. The whole thing is available at Slytherin Commons (http://slytherincommons.org/viewstory.php?sid=79&i=1), though, and I heartily second the recommendation.
