Happy birthday, Jade!

Okay, so it's your birthday. It made me sad to think that it really is your birthday, and I'm not there to share in the festivities, and it's but small consolation that we'll be celebrating both our bdays when we see each other in October. So I have compiled this long entry about our friendship (and friendship in general), and even though you will probably not see this until after your bday's over, I still offer it up as a reason for why I have not done any writing today.

First off, in honor of your birthday, I have:
- purchased 4 pairs of shoes
- watched AtS: "Have You Now or Have You Ever Been"
- gotten a manicure
- made corn on the cob (in preparation for Fried Chicken Day ... omg that we have a FCD at all)
- filmed me trying to get Talis to wish you a happy birthday (the link was sent to you in mail)
- thought about going to the grocery store to get chocolate cake

Today I wanted to create a big hubbaloo

Then, I wanted to find a friendship-based quote with which to leave you feeling all moved and weepy. These aren't it. These are the ones that didn't make the cut, and I explain why.

Isn't that lovely? And so true, especially in this case. We've been friends now for 3 ... no, 4 ... no, 5 ... 4? Oh however the hell long it's been. Anyway, it feels like forever and yet no time at all. I know not what I did in the days before we were friends. Of course, it's probably your fault that I'm completely addicted to the Internet now and will die alone in the dark like a dog, but hey. I love you, man.

Sarea, I got the book club info and it says send to 6 people -- do I just ask around my friends list and whatnot about it or was I supposed to have some kind of list of participants? You'll be getting a book from me soon, though:)

Hey there! It's supposed to be 6 people of your choosing, and it's not required that you ask around first. I mentioned it in my LJ because I wanted to see if there was anyone who was keenly interested, because then they'd more likely continue it on, rather than sending it to a random friend who might or might not participate. : ) Also, some people don't like to receive random things like this. But you know your friends better than me! So it's completely up to you how you want to get 6 more people involved.
