OK, it's been both longer and shorter than I thought re the last time I posted. >.> Sigh. It's a new year! I'm not even going to try and keep to any kind of promise about journaling, because right now I'm trying to get on the "good diet/good fitness" train and it's already exhausting trying to keep up with that. It's been less than a week, but I've been okay about it so far. I'm so out of shape my bar is very low in terms of what I can accomplish, so it's not impressive. It's just better than NOTHING. My goal is to lose 5lbs a month, which I'm not sure if that's realistic or not. I guess we'll see where I am after the first month and assess from there.

Anyway, this post is not about boring life things, this post is about all the TV I'm watching! Which is a lot! I can't believe the last thing I talked about was Hwarang. Oh boy.

Well this list isn't going to write itself, so here we goooooooo! )

Update on Lasik: I'm still enjoying not having to wear contacts/glasses, but my right eye seems to have gotten "fuzzy" again. Fuzzy is perhaps too strong a word; if I cover my left eye, I can see fine out of my right, it's just not as SHARP as my left. The result is that when I have both eyes uncovered, it "feels" like I have something in my right eye making things not as sharp, which makes me want to rub it, which is a big no no. Sigh. I'm not sure what's accounting for it, because previously I was told that it was due to post-op inflammation, but that should no longer be a factor. I guess I'll just have to see what comes out of my 1-month post-op checkup.

I have been making a lot of food recently. Details + recipe for Hong Kong style milk tea )

I've also finished a handful of K-dramas since the last time I think I wrote about them... Okay, maybe it's more than a handful... )

Football season has started again! I'm participating in 3 fantasy football leagues this year. Two are on ESPN and one is on NFL.com, which totally sucks. Yahoo is my favorite, but it's not as popular as ESPN, and the one league that uses it, I bowed out of this season.

It snowed this morning! Only for about an hour and it didn't stick for more than another hour after that, but still... it was quite pretty, especially with all the trees in my "backyard." Next time I'll try and make a gif of it. :D

All right, it's time to update y'all on the various K-dramas I'm in the middle of. I've been giving my DramaFever subscription a workout, that's for sure!

It's funny, not too long ago, I remember saying in a post that I really loved my Chromecast, while my coworker preferred her Amazon Fire Stick, and I couldn't understand why. Now I do! If you use a subscription service, like Netflix or DF or whatever, and you have a Fire Stick, it's super convenient to watch it natively from the FS app, without having to bother with casting. It's a nice interface, if not extremely intuitive, but it comes with a remote control and you can also use your phone as a remote. I like it so much now that I even bought another one, and the latest version comes with Alexa voice controls, so it's even better! Chromecast is still better though if you want to cast random stuff from a browser... basically anything that isn't centralized enough to have a native app.

Anyway... on to the dramaz!! )
