I'm baaaaaaaaaack... again

Wow, I haven't updated since March. A bunch of crap has happened since then, but I guess that will all come out in due time.
For now, some random stuff that's taking up space in my brain at the moment...
* Does anyone know the difference between Pandora and iHeartRadio? The latter seems to be Pandora but with the addition of 1,500 radio stations across the country, if that's your thing. Unfortunately, it doesn't even have my two favorite radio stations, 106.7 KROQ in LA, and 107.7 The End in Seattle. >< At least it has 98.7 in LA, though I guess that's no longer called STAR? What happened?! I listened to Ryan Seacrest DJ on that station before he became... well, Ryan Seacrest. Anyway, Spotify is better than both of those, but also requires more care/maintenance that sometimes I'm too lazy to give.
* My Mother SCOBY arrived today, ahead of schedule, from Kombucha Kamp. Sooooo excited to start making my own kombucha. I don't even know if I buy into all the health properties it supposedly has, though certainly it's a bonus. I just am addicted to its sour, effervescent taste! I'm planning to do batch brewing initially, but plan to move into continuous brew if the first batches turn out well. I realize that that's fine for the summer, but in the winter if I want to keep my SCOBY alive it's going to need more TLC in the form of heat. I hope this whole thing is a success -- I can't wait to get SCOBY babies and pass them out to friends! ;)
