WHOA at this new LJ updating screen. :O It actually previews usericons. That is so cool. Is this why LJ's been teh lame lately? I will assume so, and cut it some slack.

So, D., K., and I were going to have dinner and drinks on Friday because K. is moving to Austin at the end of this month. :( Then, today, I got an email from her husband talking about how he wants to do a surprise dinner for her at Buca di Beppo on Friday, and could I make it? Me: "Ummm ... we actually already have plans that night. Hasn't she told you?" Guess K. likes to keep her hubby on his toes. *snicker* Anyway, so we agreed that this would present the perfect opportunity to lure K. to the restaurant without her suspecting anything, and D. and I have lied our tails off. I've always liked K.'s husband although I don't know him very well, but this gets him extra kudos. I love surprises! And I love husbands who make that extra effort. The only concern I have -- and it's a wee, wee concern -- is that D. and I have promised K. a girls' night out, and now it's going to be this big thing w/ her family and other friends, etc. If you were K., you wouldn't mind, right?

I don't know why I keep giving people crappy things on the Halloween meme (or taking things away). Really, I'm a very generous practitioner of candy giving on Halloween!

Yes, I've created Sydney and Julian Sark. :))

Sydney Sark just doesn't sound right. It might actually change my shipping preferences. I might have to introduce an Eric Weiss, and then he and Syd can hook up. But Sydney Weiss doesn't sound right, either. Damn these people and their usage of last names as first names!! That was always the problem with Dana Mulder. Well, one of the many problems. <g>

Anyway, so Draco and Ginny came over to introduce themselves, but the Malfoys initially were not getting on with the Sarks at all. Oh, I was quite angsted. After a few attempts at conversation, D. and G. eventually just started talking to each other. 8-| I'm like, you fools, you have to make other friends in order to get promotions! Jeez. (Side note: Draco didn't want to talk to Sark about peace; he preferred to talk about money. It's like the game knows!)

Finally, Ginny and Sark started to really get along ... only, TOO WELL. They hugged, which pissed Draco off, and he left in a huff. What an idiot. Because of course, with him gone, there was no reason for Ginny and Sark not to continue talking (poor Sydney was in the kitchen making dinner). I deliberately avoided letting them flirt or give back rubs or anything like that, but I did need them to be friends so that the Malfoys would have friends. Unfortunately, after a bout of dancing, Ginny and Sark fell in love!!!!!! The hearts appeared above their heads!! *facepalm*

Syd and Sark have a daughter, but I think theirs is a loveless marriage. Sark is meant to be a freewheeling bachelor. I'll see if introducing a Lauren into the mix does anything. :D

As for Ginny and Draco, I only wish the Xbox version had the heart bed, so they could "play." Draco seems to have gotten over the hugging incident, and is on his way to becoming friends with Sark himself. (I don't think he knows Ginny's got the heart for Sark, though.)

Hey [livejournal.com profile] akscully, does my mood theme look familiar? Yes, I do nothing but steal people's candies and their old mood themes.
