I have new computer speakers. At
sumdumgai's suggestion, I purchased Logitech's Z-3 2.1-speaker system. After rebate I'll have paid $50, and BOY WERE THEY WORTH IT. I've resisted getting new speakers for a long time, because even though my old ones were crappy, I didn't want to spend money on a new set for something-slightly-less-crappy. But these are awesome. I am considering getting another set for my Xbox, but I'm not sure what all that would entail so I think I'll save that money instead.
I also bought three new Xbox games (none of which have arrived yet, alas) -- Prince of Persia, Burnout 2, and The Sims: Bustin' Out. I get absolutely addicted to The Sims, but it takes up too many computer resources so I haven't played much in recent memory. But I figure playing it on Xbox will be perfect -- won't take up computer time. Hee! I can't wait to create a community with all my favorite pairings. Let's see how many times Draco and Ginny can do the movie kiss and get another baby! Let's watch Mulder get bitten by a gerbil and die in a fire!

Why is season y your most favorite?
I mostly watched BtVS for the Spike element, so that pretty much has a big say in how the seasons shake down for me. We had great development of his character in S5, and the episodes in general were pretty damn good (Fool for Love!). Let's not forget the introduction of one of my fave characters ever -- the Buffybot! :D Plus, I enjoyed Glory.
Why is season x your least favorite?
S1 is pretty much useless to me. It was far too campy, the storylines were blah, the mythology was barely there, and Angel was too thin. The best thing about S1 was that it was the best SMG ever looked.
List your ten most favorite Buffy the Vampire Slayer episodes.
Aiieeeee! Ummm...in no particular order:
- Fool for Love
- Intervention
- Something Blue
- Hush
- Anne
- Lies My Parents Told Me
- Becoming, part 2
- Once More, With Feeling
- Passion
- Lie to Me

Why is season X a your least favorite?
I hate what they did to Cordy sooooo much in S4 that it's my least favorite (yes, her character, but also, her HAIR), even though this is the season when Vincent was a regular. They ruined the Connor with the crappy Cordy stuff. Grrrr.
Why is season b your most favorite?
Okay, it's been previously established that I'm a C/A fan, and there's lots of nice, USTy things in this season I enjoy. But mostly I love the introduction of Connor, the Darla pregnancy arc, Angel as a dad, etc.
List your ten most favorite Angel episodes.

Who is your favorite character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
Spike, duh.
Who is your least favorite character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
It's really hard to say; there are many minor characters I don't care for. But of the major ones, I'd have to say that I like Willow the least.
Who is your favorite villain on Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
Spike -- assuming he's being a villain at the time. And the fact that I can even say that is part of why I love him so. :))
Who is your least favorite villain on Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
Stupid Lindsay Crouse.
Who is your favorite character on Angel?
Connor
Who is your least favorite character on Angel?
Eve springs immediately to mind, followed closely by Nina and Justine; however, of the major characters ... hmmm. See, this must be why I love AtS; I actually like all the -- oh wait. Lorne.
Who is your favorite villain on Angel?
Lilah, since she's also one of the most consistent.
Who is your least favorite villain on Angel?
Stupid evil!Cordy, followed closely by stupid Jasmine.
Who is your favorite character of all?
I sound like a broken record, but -- Spike. Spike. Spike.
Who is your least favorite of all?
I think I'm going to give this honor to Kennedy. No, Eve. No, Kennedy. No, Eve. Whatever, hate them both. But if pushed I think I'll say Kennedy. At least Eve was evil and was supposed to be slimy.
Who is your favorite villain of all?
Spike & Dru
Who is your least favorite of all?
Evil!Cordy, because the big badness of it was lame, and also because it meant they totally warped one of my favorite characters in order to pull it off.
What is your favorite Buffy the Vampire Slayer quote?
But I want you to know I did save you. Not when it counted, of course, but... after that. Every night after that. I'd see it all again ... do something different. Faster or more clever, you know? Dozens of times, lots of different ways... Every night, I save you. - Spike, After Life
What is your favorite Angel quote?
Nothing in the world is the way it ought to be. It's harsh and cruel. But that's why there's us. Champions. It doesn't matter where we come from, what we've done or suffered, or even if we make a difference. We live as though the world were what it should be, to show it what it can be. - Angel, Deep Down
Which song from Once More, With Feeling is your favorite?
Even after all this time, Buffy's opening song is my favorite -- "Going Through the Motions."
What is your favorite episode of all?
Oh, jeebus. It used to be Intervention, but I think I'm going to go with Once More, With Feeling -- it's the one I can watch over and over again because I can sing along. :D
What is your favorite canon relationship?
This is hard to say, because while I love Buffy/Spike, the way it all went down in canon was wholly dissatisfying. I really enjoyed B/S up until the point where they actually got them together. But even afterwards, with all its flaws, it's probably still the relationship I find most compelling.
And your favorite non-canon relationship?
I'm going with Faith/Angel.
List all of the main characters who have died on both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, from the first person who died, to the last.
What is the point of this question? To make people fight about whether someone technically died or not? To test memory? Very well, here is my list, done chronologically, without consulting sources:
- Darla
- Angel
- Dru
- Spike
- Darla
- Buffy
- Angel
- Joyce
- Buffy
- Tara
- Warren
- Gunn
- Jonathan
- Anya
- Spike
- Fred
- Wes
Which death made you feel the most?
Joyce, both because she was Buffy's mom and that's always hard, and because the episode was so well done. Running a very, very close second is Doyle, but I knew Joyce longer.
Which death scene made you feel the least?
Not counting Warren or Jonathan, since they aren't really main characters and I only included them to see if I could remember, I'd have to say the first time Darla was staked. It was before they'd given her any real history, before we knew her, etc. (And I actually have a beef w/ how completely ho-hum it was, considering they did eventually give her a backstory, and it was soooo significantly intertwined with Angel's.
Sum up what Buffy the Vampire Slayer means to you in one sentence.
Hours of enjoyment.
Sum up what Angel means to you one sentence.
Too good for the WB.
When did you start watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
The episode "Intervention" did it for me, in S5.
When did you start watching Angel?
It was midway through S3, I believe, when the C/A got cranked up.
Which theme song do you like better?
They're both good, actually, but -- AtS.
When did you realize that you were a fan(atic)?
When I bought the DVDs. Or before that, when I started writing about it in LJ. Mostly those were dissertations about Spike. :))
Have you ever been embarrassed to be a fan? If so, when?
Almost always, but it's a resigned kind of embarrassment that's no longer true embarrassment. The really embarrassing is always when you're with other fans and talking about it really loud in public places.
