I've decided, after having just watched "Spin the Bottle," that it's not so much that I dislike Wes, as it is that I love Wesley Wyndham-Price ... if you get what I mean. WWP makes me laugh, and I think he's adorable.

It's interesting to watch Alias S3 liking Lauren from the beginning. I was especially down with her little speech in "Reunion." :D And, the scenes with the Sark trade were excellent; really whetted my writer's appetite.

Lastly, does anyone have a Dead Journal invite code they would be willing to part with, or know of someone who would?

(Am just back from a 50-min walk and lifting weights; feel quite invigorated.)

Okay, so...
I just wandered by sunshinefanfic's friends page and saw your little comment about Wes/WWP and had to comment because... I hardly ever get to talk Buffyverse with anyone.
WWP did have his good points, and he was adorable, but WWP never got hot until Wes showed up, and since I'm a chauvinist pig, I appreciated that part of it for a long time, but Wes then started to get to be a major a-hole, and my appreciation went waaaaaay down.
That's all. Probably totally unnecessary, but... :-D There it is.

You're absolutely right; WWP was never hot. But see, Wes never did much for me, even at the height of his hotness (as determined by many people I know who loved/loves him <g>) ... whereas WWP at least totally amused me and I would have enjoyed seeing him around more.

By the time S4 Wes rolled around (which I think is when jerk!Wes really showed up, though admittedly not without just cause), I just wasn't into him as a character much. I did find myself really liking his relationship with Lilah, though, toward the end of it. Such as it was. <g>

A lot of "Angel" was hit and miss for me, because the things they started to do with the plot got me into the major eye-rolling, and without Spike, I found myself at times wondering what the point was. (Bit of a Spike-o-phile, I'm afraid). I also loved Lindsey-- go figure-- so I was totally unpleased with how the series ended.

Lindsey = my favorite Angelverse baddie

:D So we at least appear to agree on characters. I did, however, really love AtS, despite its lackluster final season(s).

Oooooh Faith on your icon. I love Faith. I adore her. Spike is definitely my favorite character, followed closely by Oz. And Lindsey... well, I dunno, Lindsey just had all that sex appeal, if you discount bad hair in the last season. I'm a pig, I told ya ;-)
I think Spike had a fantastic arc, and I think Joss had that planned for a helluva long time. Gotta love the man-- he's a maniacal genius.

Sadly, I quit the gym over a year ago because I hadn't gone in a year and it was a total waste. So now I'm just walking around the neighborhood and using the weights I have. I'm not actually that big into exercise -- it takes a lot to motivate me to go, but once I've done it I certainly don't regret it. <g> You're lucky you like it so much!
