Want to know what's wrong with fandom? People like this. Some utter tool has posted a bunch of fanfic they say are not written by them, but with zero indication of who actually wrote the stories. Oh, and the best part? S/he says, "Feel free to copy the fics." Unbefuckinglievable.

So yeah, spread the word and check for your own fic. Luckily s/he doesn't seem to be much of a D/G fan, so I didn't really see anything I recognized on there as being written by someone I know ... but I definitely recognized a few of the stories.

Ugh. Just ... ugh.

Here was my message for this idiot: Maybe you aren't aware, but the fanfic here you claim wasn't written by you WAS written by someone else who worked very hard on it. You putting them out here "for anyone to copy" shows no respect for the authors who chose specific sites to archive their work. I recognize some of these as being posted at Restricted Section. And if you think you love fanfic, maybe you ought to pay more attention to how you spell things. One thing we real fans hate is inattention to detail. And people copying our stuff without letting us know. My advice: take this stuff down or at least ask the authors. It's the polite and correct thing to do.

I didn't even list my journal, because who knows, she might take that stuff too. So reprehensible.
