I've caught up on Teen Wolf after the midseason hiatus, and I am happy to report that so far it's been just as good as the first half of the season! Yay! I just really enjoy watching it, and I'm a lot more interested in the characters now that they're no longer forcing boring ships (Scott/Allison) down my throat.

In fact, I am pretty pleased with the canon ships right now. They're taking it slow and steady with them, especially the Stydia, and I think it's totally the right choice. Unfortunately, I think they still think Scott/Allison is end game, but for now I'm enjoying the fact that they're not together.

I should actually be finishing up my writing quota for the day, but instead I made some Teen Wolf gifs that I should actually be posting to Tumblr... but I haven't posted anything there in so long that I don't know how to get the layout to be what I want and I can't be bothered to fiddle with it right now. Anyway, I'm really pleased with the way they turned out... in general, screencaps from TV shows seem to appear really dark, which doesn't look good for gifs, and Teen Wolf, given the subject matter, is particularly dark (like The Vampire Diaries). So I followed some Photoshop coloring tutorials, and they worked! Mostly. I'm not super happy with one of the Stydia ones, but oh well.

These are the Stydia ones... the one on the right was particularly dark, so lightening it up introduced some weird contrast. Bah. I like the one on the left, though.

Here are the originals of the two above, so you can see the difference:

So yeah, yay Photoshop tutorials!

Have I mentioned how happy I am with the way they're doing the Stydia? Lydia is slowly but surely falling in love with Stiles. It doesn't matter how many twins she kisses! She knows Stiles' worth now. "Stiles, you're the one who always figures it out." <3!

Okay, then there's Scott/Kira. In general Scott does nothing for me. :/ Tyler Posey is just not my cup of tea. HOWEVER, I do love his bromance with Stiles, and now that he's no longer with Allison, I've realized that part of my dislike of him (and her, honestly) stemmed from the fact that I really disliked them as a couple. Anyway, now he's free to like the new girl, Kira, and while I seriously doubt she is anything more than a temporary distraction from his true love Allison, it's been fairly entertaining to watch. One of my favorite parts was when her dad came up to her while she was stammering through a conversation with Scott and handed her a sheaf of paper while saying, "Kira, you forgot all the research you did for that boy you like." Seriously, who needs enemies when you have a father like that? :))

But you know, I surprisingly REALLY love Allison/Isaac. I have no idea how this ship came about, except that the two actors started dating in real life -- and broke up, I believe -- which makes the fact that their on-screen counterparts are getting interested in one another a little bit awkward, but there's no denying that they have chemistry. (Way more than Scott/Allison, just to beat that dead horse some more.) Anyway, Allison and Isaac started to inexplicably spend a lot of time together, but they're not actually a couple.

I'm not even sure how it came about that they both took their shirts off, except I think Isaac was challenging her and she couldn't let him win. Of course, the second their shirts came off her dad walked into the room, so... HAHAHA. His offscreen "ANOTHER werewolf?!?!" was awesome. (She comes from a long line of werewolf hunters, so it's particularly irritating for her dad.)
