I'm finally catching up with Downton Abbey season 4. I've just finished ep 5.
- Anna. God, poor Anna. That was so hard to watch. It wasn't fair, but I really wanted to punch every person in their placid faces when the scene cut the opera singer's performance while Anna was being attacked. :/ I was like, OHMYGOD GO HELP HER YOU IDIOTS!!!!!!!!
- Ever since Sybil died, I've really loved Branson, I don't know why. I'm continuing to love him this season, and haaaaaate that maid who took advantage of his vulnerability. I guess her scheming and being in cahoots with Thomas was supposed to make her the new O'Brien, kind of? Anyway, Branson. I just looooooove him. I was a little afraid that with Matthew's death, Mary and Branson would start gravitating toward one another in a romantic sense and I didn't want that to happen. Yet now that I'm in the middle of the season, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT TO HAVE HAPPEN. I like Mary now, and I love Branson, and I feel like they respect each other and have an understanding, due to having both lost people they've loved, that they can't have with someone else.
- It's hard for Branson because he's straddling two worlds. I love that he's this odd duck in the family who's trying to fit in, so don't want to see him go back to his more modest roots by marrying "beneath" him, because that would pretty much take him out of the show, and would remove one of the more interesting tensions. Yet I also can't see him marrying another upperclass female, because it was unusual enough the first time around. Most women in that class would never consider him an appropriate suitor/husband, because he comes from such a humble background. So poor Branson pretty much has to spend the rest of his life alone, if I want him to continue on at Downton. :/ Maybe that's why I would like him with Mary at this point, because she's not going to be snobby about him, and like I said, they just seem to platonically (right now) love and understand one another.
- As for Mary, while I didn't dislike her new suitor, I also felt like it was pretty lame. It was WAY too soon for us to have to deal with her having to consider some other man as a romantic partner, and frankly how quickly he was declaring his undying love was eyeroll worthy as well.
- What happened to O'Brien anyway? I guess I missed the memo that, like the actor who played Matthew, she would not be returning.
- The writing this season hasn't been nearly as good as the previous seasons... some of it was downright clunky. The random, too-good-to-be-true letter that they found from Matthew, that he happened to write? Come on.
- I totes love the Dowager and Isabel together!! It's one of my favorite relationships on the show, especially now that they're at a point of mutual respect (and annoyance).

My new coworker is a big camera buff, and he loves talking about it, so I'm really learning a lot from him. I'm going to try and film some stuff using my Nikon with some tips I got from him. We'll see how that goes!
I've tried in the past to learn about aperture, ISO, shutter speed and all that, but it never quite seems to stick. He has a way of talking about it though that makes it easier for my brain to grasp.
I'm really considering getting a new camera, though. >.> Only moving to Canon. I know, I feel kind of guilty. I shouldn't, because people tend to get too invested in brands for no reason, but I can't help it!

I'm so happy all the TV is coming back. Apparently Teen Wolf has started again. I don't really keep up with the latest happenings on that show, so I thought it was a new season, but apparently they were only on a mid-season hiatus. I need to catch up about 3 eps. Hopefully the second half of this season will be as strong as the first!

I don't romantically ship any pairing in 1D, but I majorly friendship ALL of them. But especially if it involves Harry, who is a total woobie and my undeniable favorite. :D (If you need a reason why, look no further than when they were pranked on Nickelodeon. Harry is the woobiest woobie to ever woobie. Really.)
The other guys love him too. They are obsessed with touching him. I just love how unapologetically affectionate they are toward one another, in general. :D They seem particularly fond of his arse, not that I blame them. Poor Harry seems bewildered half the time, mostly in the early days. After awhile, he gets used to it, LOL.
Let's touch Harry's butt time!
Zayn, why don't you go first.
Okay Niall, you're up.

Now Liam wants his shot.
What Liam? You want to go again? FINE.
True Niall, it's not fair that Liam gets another chance and you don't, so go for it.
