I had the oddest, freakiest dream last night. It involved murder, running, taxis, acquaintences from high school, coworkers, Back to the Future III, and Mark Hoppus from blink-182. It was probably one of the least coherent dreams I've ever had.

Thanks to The Leaky Cauldron, we now know what the American version of OotP's cover will look like! See it here. I was all excited by [livejournal.com profile] blazefury's link to the Bloomsbury covers, until I read "all English-speaking countries excluding the USA," which made me go "argh." <g> In any case, I'm kind of glad because I personally don't find either of the Bloomsbury covers v. attractive. It also makes sense, too, because obviously the Bloomsbury covers don't "match" the covers of the first four books (at least not the USA editions). But the Scholastic cover looks consistent w/ the rest of 'em. Wheeeee!

I have turned my brackets in to the office March Madness tourney coordinator. I honestly have no idea who's going to win this year, who the favorites are, etc. (well, other than by looking at the #1 seeds).

My goddamn rock solid ghetto shiznit name is Nadj-ir Ice.
What's yours?

I used my real name. I also input "Draco Malfoy," and his name turned out to be "Vivacious Teapot, Yo." ::cracks up::

AtS kicked ass last night, I thought. So glad not to still be living in DC, as the East Coast feed got cut off in the last two minutes and they didn't get to see Cordy in her Mistress of Darkness maternity clothes (that outfit was ridiculous).

My Sims game has come out of retirement. Oh, no, you say. Oh, no is right. Previously, it had completely sucked me in until I could no longer tell real life from Sim life (maybe because Sim life is so much better). Then I weaned myself and it was all good. But then I recently completed installing all the newest expansions, and what's the point of buying/installing them if I'm not going to play the game?? You see, it's all very logical.

Months ago, I had created a character named Lia, who was going to star in this big epic story that I was planning. Well, I've pretty much lost interest in that story, but she's still a Sims character and Sim!Draco's wife. (They fell in love; I couldn't stop them ... not that I tried v. hard.) ANYWAY. So last night he asked her if she wanted to have a baby, she said why the hell not, and they got a little girl. As a homage to StrangerWithMyFace's loverly story "And the Little Child to Lead Them," I named the baby Cassie (also I could not think of a single female name that was appropriate). Unfortunately Cassie cried all the damn time and her parents were always tired at the same time. Well, Lia had done one middle-of-the-night feeding, so I figured it was only fair that Draco do the next one. Well the lazy git went to PLAY CHESS instead of feeding his damn child (who does he think he is, RON????), so little Cassie cried and cried and finally the social services people had to come take her away. It was the saddest thing ever.
