I went to bed reaaallly late last night because Jade and I were hashing out IYOK. Which we do every couple of months or so, because it's been awhile since we last looked at the outline, and we want to make sure that we get everything we need to get into a chapter. These damn casefiles are so hard. We actually have to pay attention and keep it all straight in our heads, or it'll be screwed. So we have to "learn" our story all over again, every time. I can't tell you how inefficient that is, and yet we cannot change our ways. It's our writing "process," such as it is. Hahaha. I'm sure you guys are brimming w/ confidence in us now. :))

Yeah, so anyway, when my alarm went off at 7, I went, "Oh hell no." I quickly checked work email to make sure nothing was going on, and then sent mail saying I was going to be in a meeting until 10, and went back to sleep.

This weekend, I have to buy: a belt, and shoes. I looked in my closet and it turns out that I have a billion pairs of shoes I can't wear, because they're mostly sandal-type things that I can only get away with in the summer. I need work-type shoes (meaning, something I can wear w/ khakis), because all of my lovely loafers were chewed up by Talis. I also want another pair of Sketchers. I love wearing boy shoes. Or should I say, slacker sk8ter boi shoes. I love them! I'm wearing a pair right now, but they're old.

I'm left to do my work, for the most part. I also have no real direct manager overseeing my daily activities at the moment, since I "own" all my projects, so I can get away w/ stuff like this from time to time. Whereas, you know, someone would notice 20 unchaperoned first graders running about. :))
