Merlin 3.5 "The Crystal Cave"

I haven't even watched it yet. But I've read enough of the recap.
- OK, so now Morgana is ACTUALLY Arthur's blood sister. Not super surprising or anything, and even before the revelation he was definitely treating her LIKE a sister (with the exception of the first handful of episodes)... but now that she really IS his sister, it's somehow even more threatening... because when they start falling in line with how the established legends go, I can only imagine that they'll continue to do so. Which means Arthur and Morgana doing the nasty.
xcarol keeps trying to talk me down from the ledge by saying it's a family show, but I can't help but wibble about it. The reason I've never been into Arthur/Guinevere before this show is partly because in established Arthurian canon, he sleeps w/ his sister (to make Mordred), which totally squicks me. Of course, the other part is that it's also established that Guinevere cheats on Arthur with Lancelot. Why would I champion a relationship so doomed?
But this damn show has actually made me love them, so now I have to wibble about all the stuff I know is "supposed" to come. Whether or not they use that stuff in this verse remains to be seen, but it IS kind of like waiting for the other shoe to drop.
- OMG the hugging. What awesome hugging. It should go in the Guinness Book of World Records.akscully, where is my gifT?? I've seen one already, but it was kind of choppy, I think you can do better. <g>
- /wrists at next week's episode. Seriously. I can't take that much angst. It's not that I think Arthur's actually going to marry some other girl. It's obviously not going to happen. But WTF that he would even consider it. That he'd go so far as to get to the altar!
"If I marry her, what will you do?" WTF kind of question is that, peabrain?! What can she say, really? "I'm gonna /wrists"??? It's up to Arthur to make the big gesture, because it's not like she can stop the wedding without getting thrown in prison (actually, with Uther, or WORSE), or ask him not to marry the girl.
I know there's pixies and what not involved (damn that Professor Sprout!), but Merlin shouldn't have to be the one to stop the wedding. Arthur should do it! Even if the wedding's stopped, it won't be his doing, and the fall out from that... I don't even want to think about it. Though, of course, it is more arsenal for why it's OK if Gwen cheats on Arthur with Lancelot... >.>
