I'd say 2 to 3 as well. Seems a nice, non-ridiculous range. I don't see a problem with getting trade paperbacks signed...I've had authors (well, Terry Pratchett) sign MM paperbacks before. I don't think they care, and if a paperback's what you've got, go for it.
