And also because it's Halloween, here's something cool/strange:
Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a total mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Fcuknig amzanig huh?
What frightens me is the implications of that: As if our youth need even more reasons not to use proper spelling and grammar. </stuffy adult voice>
There's a TGI Friday's near me that's promoting the carving of a 600-lb pumpkin. I think this frightens me more than the possibility of dead spirits. But not more than the idea of little kids coming to my door trick or treating, with me in my PJs and Talis barking his yappy little head off.
Am working on a Halloween fic, but my head hurts and I don't think I can finish it. It'll be for next Halloween. :p

Okay, I don't really, but ugh. I'm dyslexic, so not only does that totally not apply, but looking at the words like that makes my eyes cross. If I hadn't stopped reading three words in, I wouldn't be able to read for the rest of the evening; my eyes cross and I can't see the words correctly. :(
