Jeremy Northam has claimed another fan. My mom watched "The Misadventures of Margaret" last night, and to my total surprise, really liked it. I thought I was unique in this regard! Her taste in movies continually surprises me, to the point where I have no idea if she'll like something. She liked "Iris," "Return to Me," "Signs," and "Far from Heaven," but disliked "Enigma," "Riding in Cars with Boys," "The Faculty," and "The Guilty." (I thought the latter two were right up her alley.) Anyway, she liked Parker Posey but proclaimed her ugly, while she really, really liked the guy who played Parker's husband. Jeremy, that is. So before I left the house I told her to watch "Emma," which is one of my top 10 fave movies. Of course, she normally doesn't like comedies or period pieces, so who the hell knows if she's going to like it or not.
It seems very likely that I will have to be at work at 6am on Monday. How wrong is that? Very, very wrong.
Am starting a project for
marycaroline, and am geekily excited. I love this kind of thing. So she's never followed BtVS or AtS, but is going to try and follow AtS this season. (BTW MC, I lied, they're in S5, not S4. Sowwy!) I am going to make her tapes, to provide mythology background as well as character profiles and such. So if you have input on which eps you think are must-sees that fit this criteria, let me know! The difficult thing to decide between are the arcs -- there's often a 3-episode arc that happens, but including all of them wouldn't be feasible. Likely, I'll make notations for missing eps if anything of import happened.

I'm so glad you liked the ficlet. It turned out way funnier (and longer) than I ever imagined it would.
And never fear, you have not seen the last of Gustav, the little yellow duck. He will be around to taunt, err, haunt Draco for ages to come!

Re: Just a quick question
Date: 2003-10-13 10:06 am (UTC)You should be able to find most of the stories quoted (it's not all fanfic, though) at one of three places: fanfiction.net, portkey.org, or fictionalley.org. If those don't help, try a search query at Google, and you should be able to find anything you need. : )
