sarea: (South Park me)
[personal profile] sarea
Jade and I have purchased our tix to Chicago! Whooo. Okt00berfest is providing an excuse for me to take a vacation (I am praying that some last-minute firedrill at work won't ruin this). We've never been to Chicago before, so even if for some reason something falls through w/ Okt00berfest, we're still going. [livejournal.com profile] ropo will be accompanying us, but she's been many times. She's not an HP-er, but we'll get there a bit early and leave a bit late, so we can kind of t00b around on our own and do things like go to Great America w/ [livejournal.com profile] akscully (psst, you wanted to know what I look like? Look at my South Park icon; I look remarkably like that). <g> While we're off w/ our HP mates, Robbie will be tooling around w/ her Chicago peeps.

Now, the grand crazy plan involves me driving down to LA (I weep to think of this; the 17-hour drive the last time nearly made me go nuts, and that was w/o a puppy in tow; and of course, the drive back nearly killed us, so yeah, I'm not really looking forward to this) in the Vette. I will then exchange the Vette for my dad's new Civic Coupe. The gals and I will go to Six Flags Magic Mountain, which has a promotion going right now (season pass for the price of admission, which means we can use that for GA in Chicago), and probably do the other dorky things we like to do. Then we will fly to Chicago. Upon our return, I will stay a couple more days in LA, then make the loooooooong drive back to Seattle (probably w/ the pup still in tow).

Thanks for everyone's advice about my carpet. Am going to Target to get supplies. Jade says she thinks I can get a steam cleaner for $40. Am not sure I believe her. Will make her pay the difference. Hahahahahhaa.

[livejournal.com profile] rainpuddle13 shared some pics of Tom Felton yesterday (mygod, could he have been any more sunburned? I don't think so), that led to me reading this old interview that he gave. The reason I have a t00by love of TF is for the same reason I like Jason Isaacs so much -- they are both hilarious. It's not always deliberate on TF's part though. Still, he's a w00bie. Highlights from the interview:

Q: What was it like working with Daniel Radcliffe?
A: He's a very mischievous child. He was always causing havoc. He's on-set the most and so I think he has to keep himself entertained by doing all this stuff - borrowing people's mobile phones and setting the language to Turkish and all kinds of stuff like that. He loves it.

("I should really be playing Dumbledore, I'm so old. Watching Daniel run around just makes me exhausted.")

Q: Have you seen the Draco action figure yet?
A: Yes, my friends bought it as soon as they saw it and snapped my arms off and bent my legs every way possible - so that was good fun!

(LOLOL)

Q: Do you want a career as an actor?
A: Whatever life throws at me I'll take it and be grateful for it as well. I'd like to own my own garage and my own fishery. I'd also like to be a professional fisherman. But I'll take whatever happens.

("*deep sigh* If life forces me to be a successful, rich movie star with many adoring fans, I suppose I will just have to live with it. I will have to accept that that's simply my lot in life.")
