So I saw Jupiter Ascending again
Feb. 7th, 2015 09:21 amI still enjoyed it, if not as much as the first time. Maybe because I understood it a little more this time. :)) Or maybe because I never knew what crazy thing I was going to get exposed to next on first watch, and this time I knew what was coming.
This review pretty much nails the movie. Except I have to laugh a little at the first line: Let’s not call Jupiter Ascending “so bad it’s good,” because that’s a reductive cliché.
Hey man. There is nothing wrong with a reductive cliché if it fits.
But he pretty much nails everything else, including the Eddie Redmayne stuff. The whole movie makes me giggle (mostly in a good way). One thing I don't agree with, though, is that the movie is about nothing. It has a plot. It may be nonsensical and silly, but it is about something. I even got that on first watch!
So many links become bad over time that I think I am actually going to repost that whole review here. ( Yup, I am. )
