Could I HAVE more to say?
Sep. 15th, 2005 10:52 amI wanted to start this entry by thanking several people for a) participating in the author auction at
propheting; b) making such generous contributions; and c) giving me the impetus to get off my duff and write something, already. Here's my writing schedule for the rest of 2005:
1) Fic for
dgficexchange, due early Oct.
2) Fic for
chcltgddss,
rainpuddle13,
mynuet,
bitteliten, and
twiddlekinks. Their request: Portkey Party sequel or fluffy smut, with a mention of Cho.
3) Fic for
kstanley. Her request: Sequel to Playing Dirty.
They really took me seriously when I said I would whore myself out, and that I would write stuff from my "won't write" section if they gave me incentive to do so. Well, I'll say they gave me incentive -- when the bidding got to $175 conscience dictated that I had to write both, for the goodness of the cause. And now between them, they've raised $355 for the Red Cross!! You guys kick ass. I have to call out
kstanley and
chcltgddss in particular, for not only being so generous in their bidding, but because they gave us all quite an entertaining show. Seriously, it was better than eBay. It took several hours for my heart rate to return to normal.
( New York and Boston residents beware: The Okelanis are landing. )
( 'Lost' finale - spoilery comments. )
Also, does anyone know anything about gardening? A bunch of people I know are really into it, and a coworker lent me this awesome (he says) "complete guide to natural gardening," but I look at my yard and just don't know where to begin. Still, I'm determined to be a gardener. All I need is some soil, some seeds, a hoe or rake or whatever it is you use to garden, a water hose, and cute little garden gloves, and I'm set.
