catching up

Mkay, so several things (boy, a lot can happen in a few days, huh?):
1. The RPG![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
liss1224 is setting up sounds like a ton of fun. I've always wanted to participate in an RPG, but never heard about them in time to get any of the characters I'd like to play. I might have a shot this time! I understand the general theory behind them, but am unaware of the behind-the-scenes plotting. May have to learn as we go. Oh, and the other thing is: RPGs have always seemed that they would be more fun if playing with people you know.
2. Must rec a Ron/Ginny fic byinfinitus. I'm trying to stick to the sanctity and purity of Draco/Ginny, Harry/Hermione, but these gals are making it difficult indeed. You can read "Lost" here.
3. Am writing a smutlet. Only, the "let" part may already be compromised. It's currently 15 pages long, and that's just for the set up of the smut. Yes, I hear the snores already. But honestly, it's such a bizarre premise that it's required! I'm incapable of forcing a reader to suspend disbelief from paragraph one. Not that the 15 pages actually makes it that much more believable, so maybe I should have just saved my time. Edited to add: Are you British? Do you have time/inclination to beta this story? I would be so grateful! Normally I'm not as concerned with my prose sounding British (as long as the characters' dialogue can at least semi-cut it), but this one is Hermione first-person POV so I feel a little more pressured than usual to get it right. I'd also need quick turn-around since I have a deadline. If this project sounds like the one for you, please let me know. ; )
4. Went on a 3-mile walk with Talis yesterday. It was GREAT. Tired the little puppy out, giving me some quiet, uninterrupted time to write. Of course, it was only for two hours and then he was energetic again, but still. The lake was absolutely gorgeous, and I'm determined to do this as often as I can ... and at least once a week.
5. I think I may want to go see "The Quiet American" at some second-run theater. Julie mentioned it was good, and told me what the basic plotline is. I had never considered wanting to see it before, but I found myself rather intrigued.
6. Altoids Citrus Sours are the bomb.
7. Finished the fourth book of the Georgia Nicolson series by Louise Rennison, and it went by far too quickly. I adore those books ... and I think Dancing in My Nuddy-Pants might be the last! Noooooooo!!
