Oh Lord, I don't know if you want to know.

Uh, Act 2--Penny and Hammer went on a date and Hammer was being a secret jerk but Penny was all "ILU". Then Penny and Doogie were talking about life and love at the laundromat and Penny mentioned that Hammer was coming to meet her so Doogie tried to bug out but Hammer came in just as he was trying to leave. Doogie wouldn't look him in the eye and tried to fool Hammer and Captain Tightpants seemed to not recognize him but as Doogie was leaving, Hammer hauled Doogie back, said "OH HAI DR HORRIBLE" and that he was going to put the hammer to Penny, gloated about it and walked away and then came back and said "The hammer is my penis." :)))))) Then Doogie was all :((((.

Act 3--Doogie is motivated to make the freeze ray work and freezes Captain Tightpants in the middle of his press conference about opening a new homeless shelter (he was singing this hilarious song that was so horrible to homeless people :)))) and only Penny seemed to be the one to notice the jerky things he was saying). So Doogie, sining a song about being evil, is about to kill Hammer when the freeze ray overloads and explodes, which unfreezes Hammer and Hammer knocks Doogie out but apparently he still suffers some aftereffects because he hurts his hand and runs off crying. Oh yeah, and the explosion KILLS PENNY. She gets some shrapnel stuck in her and she tells Dr. Horrible not to worry because Captain Hammer will save her and it's so :(((((((((. Then it's a montage of Doogie doing horrible things and newspapers with headlines like "Whats-her-face killed by Dr. Horrible" and Doogie sings in his new red doctor's coat while getting admitted to the League of Evil (headed by Bad Horse, who is, in fact, a horse). Doogie sings about how great life is now and he won't feel a -- quick cut back to him in normal clothes in front of the webcam staring blankly ahead-- thing.

It's depressing as hell.

Well, there's one or two rounds of dgficexchange you missed. This is the nomination list so far for a new round of D/G classics. There's also a general rec board on the forums. ticklethepear's rec list is all good stuff. And did you see the mail order bride and cat burglar fic contests Pud sponsored on ginnylovesdraco?

Right off the top of my head, I really liked adelagia's Where I Stand, and persephone33's Reclamation Cooperation is one I'm voting for as a new classic.

I would have to highly recommend Three Thousand Days of Innocence. Hands down my favorite of the moment.

I agree with Sharlene about both "Where I Stand" and "Reclamation Cooperation". If you're going to read the exchange fics, I particularly recommend Notes on Falling Out of Love by incipient_love. It's also on FIA, where she posts under the name fallingskyes. It was my favorite fic of the exchange, though I may be biased, because it was the one written for me! If you are willing to try a WIP, 60sfreak/cinnamon badge's Three Thousand Days of Innocence is absolutely amazing. I can try to think of more you might have missed as well if you want more recs. And welcome back to D/G-dom, even if you don't spend as much time as you used to!
