I think we all knew this already, but my mom pwns me. Since she has been here (~5 days), she has:

1) Cleaned out my garage (Yes! You can actually park two cars in there now!)
2) Cleaned my kitchen (The Campbell's soup boiled over, Mom, and I didn't know what to do with the stove after that)
3) Rearranged/tidied my cupboards (So that's where all the lids to the Tupperware containers went!)
4) Tidied up my room (I'd almost forgotten what it's like to not trip over something in the middle of the night on my way to the bathroom)
5) Weeded the front garden area (Those were weeds?! And I thought they were kind of pretty...)

She even inspired me to call around for quotes on how much lawn maintenance will cost! (Okay, so she kind of shoved the flyers in my face and was like, "CALL THEM.") One place never returned my call and another one needs 5-7 days to do an analysis. I have a big lot and the grass is all overgrown, so I don't know how much to expect. My mom and cousin say $200-300, but that seems really low to me. After the one-time fix, I'm not sure whether I should invest in a lawn mower and actually cut the grass myself (the chances of me actually doing this on a regular basis seems slim), or to hire someone to come biweekly or monthly to do it. Depending on cost, the latter is probably the more realistic option. Why can't my 15-year-old WoW friend live closer? I could make him do it for me. I would also like to paint the house, inside and out, but the lawn is more important atm.

Oh, and I forgot -- she also cooked dinner one night, making some of my favorite dishes. The plan is that she will cook one more time before she leaves, so that I will have lots of leftovers to tide me over for a bit.

If I am totally useless in the cleaning/tidying/cooking department, she only has herself to blame for not making me do any of it while I was growing up. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I feel memey but none of the recent memes appeal to me. :/

Sorry, Mom is booked up the rest of the week, as she still has to do the bathrooms and the guestroom. Theoretically, I have to cook and clean for myself also, but since I don't do it, she can't stand it and has to jump in. Just giving you some tips.

As for the other stuff... of course you take care of the basic needs (emphasis on basic). You just don't have to be anally retentive, every object has its place, neat like she is. Does it really matter that I have a few old checkbooks??!

Do we know if the new priest is a guy or a girl IRL? Are they good, or planning to take Mydnight's place in every sense of the meaning?

That is actually a good sign in itself -- no complaining = positive sign. Have you noticed that a lot of the new guildies are a bunch of whiners? It's like, shut up and stick around for awhile before you start bitching about loot and the system, mkay??

I'm not that concerned about the drops -- actually I hope priest stuff does drop so that Coreina will use her points! (Though I am concerned that they properly account for the items she gets and deducts the proper amount of DKP from her, which they have not done on two separate occasions.) I'm more sad about not building up my own DKP in order to catch up with her even a little bit. We hates her.

Yeah, it's quite lame. He/She did a good enough job for the madness that is Razorgore. We need more shaman for the encounter so you could always roll one of those if you like. :))

I'll make fun of you if I like. I actually am okay with it so far, although I find that it's kind of hard to solo. Is that weird? Also, I kind of die a lot, but it might be because I'm trying to take on things that are too high-lvl due to impatience. My CC abilities are for shit, though. Also I'm not sure how to spec. I have a good tanking spec outlined, but do I really want to have that spec when I'm out soloing in the world? But do I really want to fury spec when the whole point of having created her is to see what being a tank would be like? Decisions, decisions.

Yeah, I died a lot with Issla, which was weird. That's one reason I went herb/alc--health potions out the wazoo! I think I went prot with Issla but it was hell to kill stuff. I say go arms/fury since that's what gets your dps going and respec later. Early on I think the best way to get aggro is just to hit stuff for a lot of dmg.

You know, that's what I like about my pally. Recently I've only died when facing elite mobs. Of higher level than me. When they come in groups.

The pally forums bitch that Pallys stop being useful when they hit endgame, but right now I'm having lots of fun being able to outsurvive almost anything. A few nights ago some mages I was partying with aggroed every single orc from Stonewatch Keep's atrium by accident and when everything cleared, I was the last one standing over a sea of corpses. Fun times :p

So, Gnomeregan next week?
