Thanks to everyone who responded about my iTunes shared music thingy. It *is* very cool, at the same time the idea that I can access my neighbor's music library kind of weirds me out. I'm just one of those people who has to take a little time to get used to all the new-fangled things that come out these days. ("But is that all they can access on my computer? What if they can see the Veronica Mars fic I'm not supposed to be writing??")

lissannej, I've finally got some answers wrt the theme music from House. According to Wikipedia: The opening theme is "Teardrop" by Massive Attack, although due to rights and licensing issues this music is not used for the show in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. (After listening to G-Money's "Teardrop," I knew the theory that the opening/closing credits were just using different parts of the same song was wrong.) I wonder what the deal is. Anyway, here's an MP3 of the UK/Oz/NZ opening theme (which plays during the closing credits of the US DVDs). Haven't yet confirmed what that music is -- the most reliable voice I've heard about it says that it's just an original piece.

I've been watching my Alias S4 DVDs (half the season is new to me). Here are my disjointed thoughts so far.

- OMG Arvin Clone (heeheeeheee) creeps me out. He's no Ron Rifkin.

- Okay, Sydney pretending to be her mom is so ewww, except that that episode totally made me cry. I was bawling. I <3 Jack, and I damn that Derevko woman for breaking his heart. Only I don't mean it, because I adore Irina. I can't wait to find out what she's all about!!

- Still am confused/displeased with the way they still haven't really told us what Sydney found at the end of S3. I just don't buy that those were simply papers proving that Jack killed Irina -- not with the (even sparse) info we were shown. So is there something more, or is this just going to be one of those things we're just supposed to forget ever happened?

- How many Derevko sisters are there? How'd they all get to be so badass, and in a similar line of work? I'd really like to know their backstory. It could be a show all on its own.

- I really, really like Nadia. I hope she's here to stay. I don't want her to turn against Sydney or do some unforgivable thing that she could then never take back.

- Nadia/Weiss is so cute!! I love Weiss, always have, and I'm so glad to see someone so cool appreciate him.

- So is Sloane actually good now??? How do they always make me question that, when he's such a magnificent bastard? Maybe HE deliberately made the Sloane Clone so that the Clone would do all the dirty work for him while he remains pristine. DAMN would that have been a good idea if it's true. And so Sloane.

- Vaughn hasn't been bugging me this season; at least, not of late. He was still bugging me in the beginning. You know, when I stopped watching the show. Now he only bugs me when he's with Syd, but let's face it, Syd bugs me from time to time too.

- Love Michael McKean! So glad he guest starred.

- How creepy was Ron Rifkin when he was beating the crap out of that guy? Also, incredibly well done, so revealing of his character and a glimpse at his true inner mind. It always bothered me how he seemed to give up Rambaldi so easily (and that we were supposed to believe he had) -- but it makes sense now that we know he wasn't satisfied with the answer he'd found, and that he feels a raging resentment that he was such a gullible fool he thought he was 'worthy' of its secrets.

- In this same vein, v. cool to see the reason behind why Jack hates himself so much for what happened with Irina -- beyond the fact that she betrayed him, he made it so incredibly easy for her. He was absolutely duped by her, absolutely wanted the perfect life she was giving him, and he hated himself when it turned out to be all lies.

- I still can't really believe Sloane and Irina had an affair. And that Irina had his baby. I mean, EW. And so fucking wrong when you think about the life that Jack and "Laura" had, and how Jack felt about her. Jesus.

- So, so bummed that there's going to be no more Sark. Or Will. Or Francie. It's so strange to think of the events of S1 sometimes.
