I've done something creative, but it doesn't have anything to do with writing. :O What in the world? I couldn't help it; it was like a demon possessed me and wouldn't let me go until I'd finished it. So what is it, you ask. It's a fanvid. My first (well, technically, my second, but the first one was an XF one I did ages ago that I never showed anyone). It's my first in practically every way that matters. <g>

It's this really angsty/sad LoVe video that kept nagging at me, begging to be made. I'm so glad it's done ... now I can move on with my life. (LoVe, for those of you on my flist who don't know the gorgeousness of it all, is Logan/Veronica from Veronica Mars. Why do they insist on breaking my stupid heart?) All comments and critique welcome -- but seeing as how I'm new at this, please be constructive.

"What If" | LoVe | 16MB

(Once you click on the link, scroll down and click on "free." The next page will make you wait some seconds before the link to the actual file appears.)

Edit: I've made the screen size smaller, so the quality of the picture should be slightly better.

Hey, I LOVE LoVe! :D That means we have at least one more thing in common besides HP (since we are on opposite ends when it comes to DH and Alias).

I wasn't able to download from RapidShare. :/ I already used up my download for the hour so I'll get it & comment later :)

Downloading now, woot. It's funny, I was thinking in the car on the way home today that I should go look to see if anyone had made a fanvideo for Veronica Mars to "American Girl". If they haven't, I'll be hitting you up for tips on how to make it myself, since there needs to be that scene with Logan on the bridge with "And for one desperate moment there" and Veronica looking at Duncan around the line "God it's so painful, something that's so close, and still so far out of reach."

Also, I finished watching the series and wrote about it in my last entry. Not that that's a hint or anything. Hints are usually more subtle.

Woohoo! D'oh, I didn't realize there was a timer on RS. :p I knew there had to be a catch. But I guess it's still better than YSI, as their links expire after 25 dls/a week, and that's a pain in the arse.

One of the things wrong w/ this video was that the quality was poor -- if I could have made it smaller, the picture quality might have been better. Of course, the original clips weren't always of great quality either, so it's just compounded when the scene is stretched (however, I couldn't bring myself to haul out my DVDs and create my own clips, rather than just dl'ing the ones so easily accessible on the Web). Despite all that, however, the actual making of the video wasn't too bad; I used Windows Movie Maker, which comes with the latest editions of Windows (I don't know how far back). It took a little getting used to, as does all technology, but it was fairly easy to learn. I would be happy to help you in any way that I can, though it might be a bit of a case of the blind leading the blind. :)) It was definitely a lot of fun, though; it was nice to be creative in a way that didn't have to do with writing, for once.
