Jan. 8th, 2005 12:03 amI'm going home tomorrow. I can't believe my vacation is already over. :( And it's pouring rain on top of it all. Oh, and Jade is doing some transcription work (because of course it would come in on my last night). She thinks I'm working on my
dearsanta fic, which I will be doing next, but right now I'm indulging in some celebrity news that makes me sad.
So here's me indulging in a totally shallow moment.
Generally I'm v. cynical about Hollywood marriages/relationships/what have you. I also don't much care about their personal lives (I wish entertainment magazines and tabloids and such just would not report on them). However, I must say that I am really saddened to hear about Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt separating. It's not a surprise after all these weeks of speculation about their marriage and the whole spawning thing, but still disappointing. Long-term relationships in general seem incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to sustain. And when considering a celebrity couple, the likelihood of 'forever' plummets even further, imho. But I dunno, I'd held out more hope for them -- maybe because they're one of the few celebrity couples that I liked. Individually, I enjoy them as actors and because they both seem like pretty decent people. And maybe, in a way, I wanted to believe that 'fairy tales' could happen in real life. I don't know how many times I have to be proven wrong before I let that go. :p

Date: 2005-01-09 05:12 am (UTC)Well at least you had a nice vacation. Coming back always sucks though. I feel like that every Sunday night because it means the weekend is over and school returns on Monday. :(
I'm adding you to my friends list cause I love reading your journal. :) If that's not okay, just ask me and I'll remove you. :)
