I have no one to turn to to vent my frustration other than LJ.
I have both DeAndre Hopkins and the New England DEF on my team, and I bet on the wrong one. Patriots D has done all right by me the last two games, but nothing spectacular. I thought against Hopkins, they might get super burned, so I frantically raced around this afternoon right before the game, trying to find a D to replace them. I ended up going with the Giants.
Which OF COURSE meant that the Patriots D was OUTSTANDING tonight, and I have them benched. TWENTY-ONE POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAARRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Which also means that DeAndre Hopkins garnered a really paltry score, so I was screwed on two fronts.
My opponent is laughing at me now, I'm sure. I even gave up Ameer Abdullah to draft a different D for tonight -- he's on IR, yes, but he will be back at some point, and had played pretty well.
This is totally par for the course with my FF experience. If I'd stuck with the Patriots D, of course, it would have gone the other way, where they would've given me negative points. -.- UGH. I don't know why this ALWAYS happens. Even if I'm trying to play smart and be proactive with my lineup, it just bites me in the ass.
Now I just have to hope that the Giants don't totally screw me over, or this really will be seriously ironic.
