1. Okay, I think I've made it known that I'm not a fan of David Fury's writing in the Jossverse. I bet people bitch about and degrade his writing all the time. But how many of those people can say that DF then flipped them off? Well, I can say it, and right proud I am, too. Thanks to

jade_okelani for this brush with fame. (Honestly, who goes up to a professional TV show writer and says, "My friend disparages your writing"? Jade, apparently.) I am reminded of the time Emily told Mark Hoppus (incorrectly) that going to a concert of his made her friend (me) go deaf. Honestly, who needs enemies when I have friends like these??????

2. Speaking of Jade, she has AT LONG LAST finished "Life Canvas," the fic she started for my birthday. It's been languishing all these months, and only the recent nice feedback from list members about IYOK5 (see how much feedback makes a difference??), as well as the threat that I would finish my own birthday fic, shamed her into completing it. But what a finish it was. It may be one of my favorite D/G stories EVAH.

3. Ever get sick of your Windows wallpaper? Or would like to see something different every day w/o having to actually go and change it? My bro has created this Windows Wallpaper Changer, which I lurve. Now it's a total surprise what my wallpaper will be from day to day, but it's always something I want to see. :D It does require you to touch a system folder, though, so depending on how leery you are of such things, this may not be for you.

4. Speaking of the bro, he posted this on his LJ:

5. There may be an auto-archiving D/G site after all!

mynuet is spearheading the charge, and I can think of no one more capable for the job. I will, of course, lend what assistance I can. But if it gets to the point of actual reality, we may need lots of help.

6. I was looking up "ambidextrous animals" on Google because

7. I think I'm getting sick again, as late last night my throat started to feel swollen and it's not any better today. Plus I think I'm running a slight fever and I don't really like having to sit up and stuff. Fun. NOT.
